Moving into house where last owner had a cat but I am very allergic to cats

Posted Monday June 15 2009, 2:48 am

I am planning on moving into a new home where the last owner had a cat and has since moved out (they moved about a month and a half ago now). I am very allergic to cats, but am planning to have the carpets deeply cleaned in order to try to get all of the cat allergens out. Is there any more I can do, or should I not even consider moving into the house? Any ideas or other people who have gone through the same thing?

What keeps a baby from drowning in the womb?

Posted Monday June 15 2009, 2:27 am

So, I was thinking about babies and how the body works in miraculous ways. I know that in the womb, the baby is surrounded in fluids, right? Well, how does the baby not drown? I just don't understand. I heard something about doctors having to suction fluid from the baby's lungs when it is born but how in the world did the fluid get in there without killing the baby (or did I hear wrong)?

I mean, why can we not go into water after birth without drowning?...or can we?

How to scan a magazine article onto a computer

Posted Monday June 15 2009, 2:10 am

I have had an article published in a glossy magazine and I want to scan it (as is) onto my computer. I, eventually, want to put it onto my website (not created yet) and allow people to see the article exactly as it appears in the magazine. Would that be a pdf file or something else? How do I do this properly?

Is it illegal to lend my debit card with PIN to someone?

Posted Monday June 15 2009, 1:48 am

Recently, I asked one of my best friends to withdraw some money for me from an ATM when they went out shopping. I know I can trust this friend very much so I wasn't even slightest bit nervous about having them make the transaction at the ATM for me. After that somebody (another one of my friends) told me that it is illegal to do so.

I am aware of the risk if it is illegal, but I would like to know, in certainty, if it is really illegal.

Anyone know?

Novel ideas

Posted Sunday June 14 2009, 12:07 am

Does anyone know of a really great romance novel that would make me cry?
Or even just a sad book that's somewhat of a tearjerker?

I love sad stories with no "neat" endings. Lol I know that sounds depressing but yeah, that's it.
Thanks!

Industrial Piercing Vs. Job How do I keep them both?

Posted Saturday June 13 2009, 11:19 pm

i have my industrial pierced. i've had it for a couple weeks shy of two years. it was perfectly fine, completely healed and everything. well i got a new job about a month ago, and unlike my ex-employers, they make me take it out. so i have to have it open for 4-9 hours about 3-5 times a week now and it's started to aggravate it a lot. the holes are like swollen from having to push it back in every night and my ear is tender. well i finally got a retainer for it today. it just has little rubberband-like things to put over the ends of the bar instead of balls. so my question is, is it safe to just leave the retainer in all the time instead of having to change it out with my regular bar constantly? will the little bands fall off in the bed or shower easily?

Working

Posted Saturday June 13 2009, 10:04 pm

I'm fourteen
I'll be fifteen August Fifteenth
My parents are apparently running low on money and I'm getting tired of my dad yelling at me everytime I ask for ten bucks
I also need money so I can go out shopping and stuff
But because of my age. Not many places will hire
I'm thinking I'll be the only sophmore without a job come September
So, are their any places that will hire at fourteen?
Or even fifteen?
I live in northern New Jersey, if that helps

Thanks. (:
