getting a letter notorized

We need a signed letter for my wifes income which she babysits for one of her friends for us to move into our new apartment. The letter is only good for a year which my wife plans on going back to work. Her friend said she cant get the letter notorized because it will mess up her HUD and social services. Is that true? We really need this place asap can we get someone to sign it and say we babysit for them?

Banking with Heritage, Bank Cheques?

I was just wondering if I can get a 'bank cheque' from the Heritage Building Society bank, on the day. As in tomorrow.
I need one asap.
I need one immediately because I'm purchasing a vehicle and I only just remembered. I cant withdraw more than a thousand a day, so cash is a little difficult. Bank cheques seem to be most appealing to the seller.
Please help asap.

Money issues.

Hello advicenators!
I am a female living with my fiance, and I'd love to hear opinions. I work, and so does he, but as with any home, there are things to pay. Due to certain circumstances, we are fortunate as to not having to pay bills such as the light, gas, etc. Right now, we are paying small bills. For example, we pay metrocard (which is $190 a month), a small bill of $60, and another bill of $10. The thing is, I am confused as to how we should pay bills. On one hand, I want to help him out, since we are a couple. But on the other hand, I feel as if he should be taking care of me, meaning he puts in more money towards the bills. Can someone put in their opinion? It would be awesome to hear stories from those who are marrie...

Can you be charged for answering phone calls?

My mom doesn't have long distance on the phone at home and my best friend from Washington wants to call me. I know I can't call out to her because the phone won't let me since we don't even have long distance coverage. If my friend calls me (it is long distance for her too, of course) with her long distance coverage will I be charged for picking up the phone and answering it?
And, no, this is NOT a cell phone. It's a landline at our house!

Company STILL Paying Me Weeks After I Quit

Ok, I worked at a well known IT Consulting company, and I gave my 2 weeks notice mid May. They had paid me after the first two weeks of my short employment there (6 weeks), so I was all caught up with my paychecks when I quit (3 total paychecks for 6 weeks).
Now, 2 weeks after I quit (did not work one day of those 2 weeks) I got a paycheck. And now I got another paycheck, 2 weeks after that one.
While I love this money, I understand it is not mine. I was wondering what I should do; is there a way I could pay a lawyer to fight the company for the money? Or would my best bet be to try to give the money back directly.

Sales Job

I went for an interview at this place today that is a health club. the job is. basically "coaching" people towards a better and healthier lifestyle, and the mean time they lose weight. the way that i get paid is by selling this certain brand of nutrition products. it is a very reputable brand, the company sponsors many olympic athletes and is the nutrition brand of many professional teams. so i am not questioning the products.
however, i dont know if this is right for me. to start you have to pay 65$ for the certification to sell the product, or you could buy the 99$ package and get the certification plus $100 of their products. i just don't know if this is worth it. the club brings in cleints so i wouldnt ha...

School or work for a single mom?

I just found out today that my unemployment has run out. I am in school right now, 3 weeks into 2 6 week classes. I am also signed up for 2 more 6 week classes for the last half of the summer term. I have a two year old son who is in daycare monday through friday. Since my unemployment ran out I will not be getting any income except for my child support and my financial aid. I need some advice on wether I should put off going to school for a while and get a job, or if I should stay in school? I am scared that having a two year-old, having a job and being a full-time student will be too much on my plate.

Boyfriend and Future Mother-in-law Financial Issues

I will be moving to another city with my boyfriend in a couple of months, and right now, he is constantly being manipulated by his mother for money. She will say things like "we can't pay our bills this month" or "we really need the money" but most of the times, she will take the money from his account without any acknowledgment at all. He works full time, and 75% of his paycheck goes to her; he is still living at home.
He refuses to talk to her about it, and when I try to talk to him, he gets upset and says that no matter what, she's his mom, and when she asks him for something, he'll give her anything.
He needs to start saving money for when we'll be living on our own, but no matter what I try to do, he...

I have to save up about 2700 until I graduate high school next year. This is going to cover the cost of school trips and multiple proms. I already have a job, but the money I earn is going to fall slightly short of this. What are some ways I can supplement my income? I cannot babysit, as I know no small children, nor do I want to watch other people's kids.

I keep getting e-mails from people about this MyWorld Plus business opportunity thing.
The links don't look like they go to the site, but when you click them that is where you end up: "www.myworldplus.com"
I could not find ANY way to tell these people to stop mailing me and there is no way to contact the company!
It all sounds real enough, but with no way to contact them and all this spam I am getting about them it starts to sound bad.
Any advice?

False Income Tax Report

My boyfriends father claimed both him, and his younger brother on his income tax report. The problem with this is that his father hasn't been a part of their lives for more than ten years, and hasn't offered to be. He's always been lacking on child support payments (his mother has nowhere near enough income to hire an attorney to change this) , he neglects to answer phone calls or even attempt to get in touch. My boyfriends mother is a single mother, raising three kids. My boyfriend is in college, the middle is 17, and the youngest is under 17. Obviously, by his father claiming my boyfriend, his mother is being neglected of money she could use to help out her children. I have had ntelos for about a year with my mom. When i met my gf, I wanted to switch off onto my own account and have her on there. So we went into ntelos the dude said it was no problem and that I was approved for 2 lines no deposit. So after about a week when the switches was supposed to be made....they wasnt. The manager of that store said you were supposed to pay a $100 deposit. I said that we was told we didnt. So the manager said he would credit us here and there for payin the $100 since we was lied to and that something would be done about the guy that lied to us.....not...he still works in the store. student loans

i'm a 19 year old college freshman in need of student loans and i don't know where to begin. as of now i'm on the HOPE scholarship in Georgia meaning my tuition is paid for but everything else comes out of my mom's pocket. She's a single mom so it's a struggle and i've suggested student loans time and time again for months now but she has yet to fill out the FAFSA because her taxes are not filed, therefore i don't know how to go about getting loans. She will not take the time to sit down and file taxes in order to complete the FAFSA, and according to the website i can't declare myself as an independent until i'm like 24 or married or other random stuff so I don't know what to do. I have applied for unemployment benefits on the file claim where my status on the previous weeks claim is shown it has the letters (IS) what does this mean? if it's bad am i able to reapply and restart a claim? How would i go about this situation?
