friends at school + headlice

last year at school i had headlice. i felt horrible all summer, bu have fianaly cut my hair and got rid of them. i was nervous this september that i might get them, but i am sure i havent. i'm so glad not to have them now, but a friend told me privately yesterday that she nows i have headlice. i prentended to agree with her, telling her the truth about catching it of my friend, and having a hard time getting rid of it. but the thing is, i am so sure i got rid of them, and i know this sounds stupid, but i feel really bad, like my self-confidence has shot down by miles. i want to tell her the truth. i'm sure she doesn't blab about it, but she might tell her friends, which i hate, cos i feel really self concoius. should i tell her that they'v...

Alright so in the beginning of last year, i was sort of friends with this girl named Julie. Julie was not my favorite person, because she was constantly grouchy and was not ever in a good mood and didn't ever have anything positive or nice to say... ever.
Now, the reason we even started talking is because of this girl named Alyssa, who is one of my very best friends. Alyssa is the only reason that me and Julie even made contact. So you know how everyone goes to party's and dances and stuff or whatever it's like the cool thing and it's fun to dance with all your friends and shit. well That's not me i don't enjoy dancing i don't do it i mean a can like dance for fun and stuff with a friends or something but i don't go to party's that involve that cause i look like an idiot sitting watching everyone dance so my question is how come every thinks its weird and your boring if you don't dancing so why is that people who don't have any intrest in dancing people think its weird or something like that?

so i have this friend, who is kinda wierd at times, but i luv her anyways, and she always texts me, and invites me place, sometimes a lil too much. Then she became friends with this other girl , who im sorta friends with, and is OBSESSED with her, and wont leave her alone, and is being all cliquie and annoying with her. And having all these plans and stuff without me. And then when i try and be a little rude to her shes like "why r u in such a bad mood?" which is not at all what i want her to think. SO how do i either break them up or join in?

How do I make close friends?

I'm only 18 but I've noticed that I've never had a true close friend. I have had a few casual friends in the past (and currently have quite a few) but no really good friends that truly KNOW me. Some of these friends say they enjoy hanging around me, but no one ever seems to want me as a closer friend.
One friend in particular said I was kind, polite, trustworthy, supportive and understanding, but she's was very open with letting me know that she doesn't consider me a close friend. (She couldn't/wouldn't say why.) Although most people my age are getting married, becoming engaged or dating seriously, everyone else seems to have good friends that are always there for them and know them. i've been friends with my best guy friend for about 5 years now. we use to be really close but lately we've drifted. the problem is; the things he does to me makes me wonder if he even is a good friend. i need an outsiders view because of course i love him, we're really close so i wouldn't be able to be like "hes not a good friend to me"

Awkward Friendship

I have this one friend, not really a friend, i just hang out with her at basketball practice. I really like her, but hanging out with her outside of practice or without the team is really awkward because we have nothing besides the sport in common. she invited me over once and i think we both thought it was awkward. my parents now are always telling me to invite her over. i have gotten out of it so far, but they always say i need to "reciprocate" or "return the favor" how can i explain to them that we arent compatible to hang out outside of basketball??

Recently I lost a year long friendship with a guy. All though we were friends, I let him know that I was interested in being more than friends. I also gave him every opportunity to tell me that he wasn’t interested or to move on. He didn’t. We had a really open relationship or so I thought. I have this guy friend that I've had a crush on for forever. I finally told him two or three weeks ago and he handled it surprisingly well. I figured that we would get past it and nothing more would really be said about it since he wasn't interested in me back like that.

Is being depressed the new version of being bored?

When I was growing up all I heard from my friends was about how they were so bored all of the time. They would be in the middle of a fun activity and start saying they were bored! It was like it was cool to say you were bored all the time or something.
Well, now I don't hear many people saying they're bored but I hear them talking about how depressed they are. Sometimes they will be in the middle of a fun, happy activity (just like before when I was growing up) and start talking about how depressing their life is and stuff. It's like the word "bored" became the word "depressed" or something! They're practically the same situations!
Am I on to something or am I just running into strange ...
