Hi. 17/M. Im studying american history, and one topic is the vietnam war. I do not understand why John F. Kennedy is considered a hero, when in reality, his actions worsened the state of the USA in vietnam. Maybe im missing something? anyone help me out?

Long haul flight

In two weeks I will be flying to Australia from the UK, which takes almost 24 hours. I'm not afraid of flying, I just don't particularly enjoy it so I'm not really looking forward to it. Does anyone have any tips for flying long haul? Anything related to passing the time, sleeping, eating and jet-lag would be greatly appreciated.

Sorority Rushing

I was at a party in collge and I asked the president of a sorority for a lighter. My friend was shocked I did it because its considered "Dirty Rushing" (i didn't know that even existed). But are my chances ruined with the sorority- will they even really remember me? I was introduced to them shortly after by a mutual friend. THey seemed friendly (but i don't really remember their faces b/c i was pretty drunk).

Hey, I have a bank account with Bank of America and I'm able to check my savings online. I have one checking account and two savings accounts linked.. one for school adn one just a general bank account. So my quetsion is.. so I dont get the two confused by accident, is there anyway you can give the bank accounts their own title so when you sign on you'll see "School Savings" or "General Savings" or whatever it may be for.

I have been thinking, and I want to know if Im the only one, anyway its just sickening to me the generation we are in. What happened to the nice old fashioned guys, and clean tv. Has anyone seen music videos lately? On mtv? I feel disgusted. Im 17 and I most certaintally don't want my future kids to grow up this way. I just heard a song the other day that said "cream on the inside, clean on the outside" are you kidding me?! And what is up with the under aged drinking? I know so many people that just feel like its okay to just drink their brains out and get completely wasted, and just "do it" at such young ages and with whoever they want. I realize not everyone is like this, I most definately am not, but it just makes me ...

I am a HUGE fan of Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. I think she's an awesome person and I'd really like to meet her and get her autograph. I was thinking that maybe I could get a chance when I went to a concert of hers but I'm not sure if that's possible or how I could even do that. I figured someone here on Advicenators would know though! Is there a way I can actually meet Miley Cyrus? THNX!!!!

I know it's an odd question but I was thinking about the television the other day. I haven't had T.V. in a couple of years now but I know that most of the United States does. It is a good way to get information out to the public so it was a wonderful invention! Anyway, out of pure curiosity, when was the television invented and who invented it in the first place?

Dog Toy

There is a dog toy...it's a stuffed dog toy. It has a really big head and I think it has a little body...they look like rescue pets but I don't think they are the same brand. Their heads are a lot bigger and more oval shaped and their eyes are HUGE it's like the eyes are the size of the head. The had mini ones that they sold too. Does anyone know the name of this toy? Okay, so i'm getting a new digital camera. It's between these two:
1.)Casio - EXILIM 10.1-Megapixel Digital Camera
2.) Nikon - Coolpix 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera
The thing is, with both some people hate them and some people love them... So does anyone have either of these?
Also is there a site where professionals evaluate these cameras?

So, I'm a sophmore, and my guy friend I've know since first grade likes me.
He doesn't know I know, but me and my friends ave figured it out.
I doubt he'll do anything about it. Cause last time he dated one of his chick friends it ended horribley.
But if he DOES happen to tell me one day, how on Earth to I let him down without compleyely ruining our friendship?
I love him to death, but I'm not attractied to him like that.
I did have a pretty huge crush on him seventh-eighth grade, but that is compleyely over and done with now.

Alright so last school year a becamse bestfriends with this guy in a grade above me. We did EVERYTHING in school together. Most of the school thought we were dating because we spent all our school time togther. We met during class after and before school.
He told me everything. He told me how his bestfriend became and ass. He told me about his depression from a few years ago. There werent any secrets.
Except my secret of liking him.
But, he wasnt the GREATEST friend. He would do things I'd asked him not to do. (BIG things that culd have ruined a few of my other friendships) Ditch me for stupid reasons. So after about the fifth time I got tired of it. And told him he was dead to me. And I havent really spoken to ...
