Should I do it?

Posted Tuesday September 8 2015, 3:35 pm

One day at the animal shelter where I work, I met this very nice boy who immediately asked me out. WE agreed to take our dogs out the next day and get to know each other better. I was hoping that this boy would be someone I could have a relationship with, but it turns out that he only asked me out for sex. I text him saying I can't talk or text him anymore if that was the case, but he says that he would still like for me to text him. Should I do it?

I keep doing something I shouldn't... and I can't really ask for help?

Posted Friday September 4 2015, 7:16 pm

I keep doing something I shouldn't, and something I don't want to do until I start doing it. And I shouldn't do it, but I do. I hadn't for months, but then I did it again today. I really don't want to ever again, and I hope I won't. I won't. But I might get caught, and if I do, that won't make a difference. It'll be over, I'll be screwed, and I really just feel dirty and bad, and I know I'll feel better in a few days, but I can't guarantee definitely I won't do it again. And even if I don't, I regret it and feel bad. And I can't ask for help, I'd be in trouble and all my actions would be misconstrued. Basically... I'm sorry.

What would an anarchist society look like?

Posted Tuesday September 1 2015, 3:14 pm

So I'm writing a book (i write as a hobby) and I want an anarchy to emerge, so I'm wondering how an anarchy starts, what it would be like living in it (i imagine that total chaos would happen, and the humans would form tribes to live, and fight for power, but if you can show me how some anarchist society's work in real life today, that would be nice) and at some point it's going to end so how would am anarchy end? Thanks.

Contact Lens Prescription

Posted Monday August 31 2015, 6:52 pm

I have a box of contact lenses left (from my old prescription) that are -0.25 lower than my current prescription (Older: -1.75; Newer: -2.0)-- I use Acuvue Oasys 2-week lenses. Is it okay to use the older lenses and then switch to the current prescription once those have run out? Will this have any effect on my current prescription?

Trying to find a book.

Posted Monday August 31 2015, 11:15 am

Hello! I'm big into YouTube videos of reviews and favorites and that kind of thing. I watched a video a couple of weeks ago and this girl was discussing her favorite book at that time. I can't remember what the book was called nor what the video was to find it again. So, if any of you know this book and could let me know the title, I'd appreciate it so much!!

It's about a girl who got into a car accident and (I believe) her face got very beaten up and the book is about how the accident changed her and her life after it and dealing with what happened. I really remember the girl discussed how much she likes the way the book was laid out; instead of each chapter being in chronological order, you had to flip around to find the ne...

Capias issued for missing a court date? What do I do?

Posted Thursday August 6 2015, 9:03 pm

Please don't judge me but about a year ago I was in a relationship with somebody who was a very bad influence on me. He convinced me to steal something from a store while I was with him and I got caught. The items were less than $100 so I was charged with Petite Theft and it was my first charge ever. I went through deferred prosecution and I thought I did everything they asked me to do (I paid $200 to the court and $200 as a donation to a company). I thought I was all in the clear. Now about two months have gone by and I just paid a ticket I received for not having proof of insurance (though I did have insurance). The lady on the phone told me I should check on my misdemeanor because it looked like something was going on.

I ...

Small sweet 16th birthday??

Posted Monday August 3 2015, 5:08 am

I'm turning sixteen on October 13th and I want it to be a day to remember, but my parents don't have a lot of money.

I'm not sure what I want to do, last year I took 3 friends to a pumpkin patch (where we screwed around and raised havoc in the corn maze) but this year, I want to do something fun that we'll hopefully all enjoy.

I'm taking my best friend to a Twenty one Pilots concert -10/21- which is $50 already down the drain.. And I want to go to the zoo to see the goats. (They're my favorite animals.)

Anyway, I'm taking three friends, three 16 year olds and one 15 year old. We all love doctor who,and supernatural.. So I was thinking I could have my awesome artist brother make a tardis cake, (sh...

Are there any unanswered questions?

Posted Thursday July 30 2015, 4:07 am

I know this question is somewhat weird but I just wanted to know if there is a way to find unanswered questions on this website. I even altered the sort mode to "unanswered questions first" but still can't find a question with no answers at all. I really love giving advice to people because I love helping out; it really cheers me up. That's the reason I signed up for this website but even the questions on the column on the right (Be the FIRST to answer these) have an answer/answers. I don't want to answer one of these questions because usually the answer which is already given is quite long and it already says everything I would say to answer the question so I find it pointless to confuse the person who asked the questions by repe...

What do I do with all the spare time I have?

Posted Wednesday July 22 2015, 7:10 am

I recently have been accelerated from the ninth grade to first year college after taking a government issued acceleration test. Now, the results came in a little later than expected, and so I was only able to enroll for the second trimester. I have a couple of months left with nothing to do. We live in a subdivision where commuting is quite hard because of all the road construction, and my mom, who usually drives, recently had an operation. I have a daily jogging routine from 4PM until 5, but other than that I have nothing concrete as to what I should do. I want it to be productive, but it's required that it must be doable indoors. Quick sidenote: I am 2 years into my recovery from dilated cardiomyopathy, so I'm not allowed heavy work, but ...

Moving to a new school

Posted Tuesday July 21 2015, 6:04 pm

We rented a house and the owners want to sell it now, so my family and I have to move. My parents have been looking for houses but they can't find one in my school zone. My dad said we will either move into a house that is zoned for a different school or we move in with my aunt until we find a house in the right zone. But the thing is I really don't want to move in with my aunt because it's a tight space, but it's going to be my freshmen year and I don't want to be the newbie and the a little freshman (if you know what I mean). I want to stay at my school so I have a least a few friends to talk to. And I've already started conditioning for my schools field hockey team. But on the other hand if I go to a new school I can get a fresh start on...

A Problem With Men?

Posted Tuesday July 21 2015, 4:35 pm

19/F

I'm a feminist. That much should be known before I say anything else. I've become a major tomboy/rebel just to bring my perspectives out more clearer. My father and I clash quite often because the way he was raised made him out to be the type of men I simply hate; misogynistic, macho-like, egotistic, and always wanting to be the center of attention. He has major anger issues, I have heard him cuss me out repeatedly (then when I cuss he gets extremely angry and tries to reprimind me), he never listens to me and when anybody tries to talk over him - or prove he is wrong about something - he acts violently and tries to make them shut up. He treats mom pretty bad, only doing nice things for her to get attention, praises, an...

Can't use deodorant due to infection.

Posted Wednesday July 15 2015, 11:52 am

I have a staff infection on my armpit, and my doctor said I cannot use deodorant on that armpit. Is there anything I can use to not smell, aside from perfume? I'm really self conscious about showing my face outside. I do not want to cover it up with perfume though. I'd truly appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I'm bad at social interaction

Posted Wednesday July 8 2015, 11:09 pm

Hi, I've always been kind of shy. I never really talked much even as a kid, so I wouldnt talk to people I'd just smile (if I liked that perons). But now I'm a lot less socially awkward. I have less friends. And when i try to make new friends I never know what to say, I always start with asking them basic questions but then I get stuck. Today I even went to hug my grandma before I left and I felt awkward because I hugged her, said hi and just left. I feel like if someone else did that it would've run smoother but I feel like it was awkward. So my question is: how do I become less socially awkward?

genral life help

Posted Tuesday June 30 2015, 1:10 am

To me realisation is key, for instance once you realise if something is good or bad for you, you can make the decision on how to change it. Never take your self to seriously and my person big one - dont live in the past - the mind is a powerful thing, I believe, if you have the mindset, be positive you can do, achieve anything.

So they are a few that I've learnt while growing up, however, I want to know more, I don't quite no what to call them, but what things have got you through your life?

What do you tell your self when your at your lowest? Or just need that little push?
