i'm a junior in high school this year. and i live in queens, ny. i was wondering if anyone in the area knows a good SAT prep that's free? if that's possible. but if not, one that is pretty cheap and is good also? thanks!

Ok so i just started highschool and i've gotton off to like a REALLY bad start, its only been 3 weeks, and i'm like failing all my classs! I don't know how either! and i do ask for the teachers for help but it still doesnt help me! ughh. Highschool is just so different from middle school and like ive NEVER EVER gotton a D or an F on a report card and i dont want to start now, and im in all basic clases, so what im asking is do you know any good study skills that could help me, and i have soccer on tuesdays and thursdays from 5:30-7:30
so that would be a big help! and this is highschool and it like REALLY counts! please pleast please help me! im so stressed out right now!

Underage drinking experiences paper

I have to do a school project on a controversial/ethical subject and I wanted to choose something other than the death penalty or abortion. I have chosen to do underage drinking. As part of research for the project we have been asked to gather different points of view about the topic and I decided Advicenators would be an ideal place to get some of these opinions/experiences.
If you could take a few minutes to answer these questions/give any additional infomation then it would be very much appreciated.
Did you drink when you were underage? (I know that the legal age varies in different countries, so just go with whatever the legal age is where you are). If so, how often? Where and how did you obtain the alcohol...

low self esteem

I have really low self esteem. I care about everything and I don't deal with drama good. I seem to like running away from my problems and I show when I care which is bad I know. I don't know how to not give about everything not important I don't know how to not care I don't know how to let everything just blow by and I don't know how to stop stressing and worrying. I've gotten picked on because of my low self esteem people seem to know when I care so they seem to pick on me a lot more can anyone show me how to have more self esteem and how to just not care about what everyone thinks?

National History Day ideas.

hey there :)
umm. so i have to do nation history day ths year and im kind of excited about it but i dont have any idea about what to to do!
* The theme is CONFLICT & COMPROMISE.
the only thing i cant think of is the 3 compromises of the civil war (comprosmise of 1850, 3/5ths compromis, and missori compromise of 1820) , but thats boring and unoriginal.
1.does anyone know anything like edgy and intruging to do?
2._also were there any conflicts about fashion? bc i love fashion and it would be cool to do that.
any help would be greaty appreciated!

I have trouble when the teacher gives me a reaing article and i have to find an answer to it!
for example, the question is: "What is the population (in canada and the United States) of the great lakes ecosystem?

But I don't even know where to start looking!
Can someone help me? Like tell me the key word to search, or tell me the page name so i can search?

high school

I entered high school going from an very small private school to a very large public high school (70 kids versus around 4000 kids) I knew it would be a big transistion, and would take some getting used to, but about a week and a half into it, I hate it so much. I spend most of my nights crying and I don't think I can bear it much longer. I don't know anyone but I have some people to talk to, but its just not the same as my other close friends. I just feel like Im completely lost, and not where I belong. No other people I know seem to feel this way. They say it'll get better but I can't see that happening. What can I do? If I really said I hated it, my parents would let me transfer, but I don't even know where to go. Theres a smaller catholi...

Measurement conversion?

Ok first off I have a physics class and right now I somewhat get 25% of what we are learning now. It's something like converting measurements, here's an example: Convert 4.6m into km and one's like 2.1x10 to the sixth power and turn that into a differnt kind of measurement. There was an example of how it was done but it wasn't very helpful to me cause I need like full detail of how it's done. Does anyone know a site or can anyone tell me STEP BY STEP how to do those?

Driver's Ed

I start driver's ed soon & I was wondering if anyone knows what you actually do?? It's 30 hours classroom time & 6 hours on the road. Obviously on the road, they teach you how to drive & get practice in. What do you do during class though?? Is it all lecture or is there activities?? Anyone take driver's ed?? Thanks!!

I am already in college and unfortunetly I didn't get to the elite one I hoped for. I recived 2100 SAT test scores however my grades only reached a B. My little sister started high school(freshman) a week ago and she has a chance at getting into those elite colleges, however, my parents don't give any motivation.
I was wondering about programs/awards that she can try out for which can help her get recognition for those elite colleges and help her get in. For instance I know there is a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award which teens in englang get and that helps them get recognition and get into better colleges. Stuff like that.

hi so im a freshmann, and i was just curious about like homecoming. do freshman really go? and like if they dont have dates, do people still go? i mean, im not sure if ill have one or not. im not ugly or anything, its just im new to the school. ive met alot of cool people, but eh. i dont know.
