"Dependence on Technology"

I'm writing an essay about American dependence on technology and I'm looking for either a news article or research article or something like that to back up the view that Americans have becoming more and more dependent on technology, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding an article. I looked on quite a few news websites as well as CQ Researcher and haven't found anything that fits my particular essay.
I'm just wondering if anyone would have any idea if such an article exists somewhere on the internet and where I could find one.

French Adjectives

In French we have to make an acroustic poem using adjectives about ourself. The problem is I dont know any adjectives to desribe me that start with the letters of my name, Mary. I have adventureuse but thats about it. Can anyone show me where I can get a huge list of adjectives to choose from. Ive been through many google pages and couldnt find any... Any help would be apprieciated

I'm not like other kids when I say I hate my highschool. I actually mean it. Since I've been there, we've had crappy principals who gave us no freedom & who didn't really like us. This year, there's a lot of changes some good & bad. We have shorter lunches, but we can use our phones. We actually get to go on trips & our principal is really nice. However, the teachers are stupid.
School started for me on the 5th, and since then I've missed 2 days of school. Even though I've legally missed two days, my teachers have been marking me absent everyday since school started which is wrong. I've been there everyday except the 13th & the 18th. Movie Reviews

Hey, I have to write a 10 minute speech on 2 different movie reviews (5 minutes for each), one has to be of the FUNNY sort (maybe in a sarcastic way, like most critics write?) and one in a heartwarming, tear-bringing sort of way (written by anyone really) I have no problem motivating why I like an article, or what I don't like about it..so I figured this hw shouldn't be too difficult. The problem is that I can't find articles to talk about though! I knew the funny one would be hard, but I can't even find a sweet one online.. you'd figure lots of people would post about certain movies and what they meant to them and stuff like that?!?! Right?? And now time is almost up, and I have to write this project but I have nothing to write it about! D...

Bringing Up A Failing Grade

Is it possible to bring up a grade of 28 (or lower) up to a passing grade (70) in about 5 days? You see, I have NEVER EVER in my ENTIRE life failed a class. Now, all of a sudden, I have a 28 in my English class and a week from tomorrow is our final exam in that class. Well, if my mom sees a failing grade, she will surely kill me. I am devastaed because I have done nothing different in this class. You see, the teacher has a reputation for losing papers and failing students who should have passed..Well thats not the case with me. My problem is the work. We are doing research papers and we have had to turn in notecards and I have been really REALLY bad about not turning them in on time. I just cant get them done when she sets the time for. But...

Short term goals?
about low long by years or months are they?
And what are educational or career goals?
Can you give me some examples? And aren't those three goals can be like the same thing cuz an educational goal could be being a doctor and that can be long term??

Well, I thought about making a HUGE decision today, but I realized it was too big and that I should leave it up to faith..well I decided if I could get an A (for the first time in my life) on something, I'd stay. So I'm trying to do this chemistry project, which is basically 120 questions to answer.. and I was doing great until I got to the 8 last questions. Now I'm wondering 1) Can anyone help me? and 2) (THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION OF THE TWO) If I do get help from you guys, will that still count? Or does it mean that I didn't succeed and should leave??!

:( I have severe anxiety problems about school. To the point of crying. You have no idea. If I miss an assignment, or get an F on something I will cry for 8 hours nonstop. If I get in trouble by a teacher, I'll cry. If I'm having some sort of trouble in school, I won't stop thinking about it for the next 3 days, and nothing could ever change my mind. I won't even go up to a teacher to ask them about it. I do believe there is something horribly wrong with me. But when it comes to asking about grades or something, I'm always hesitant and afraid. I have a situation right now. My teacher made a mistake with one of my grades, and I e-mailed him. But I have a feeling I may have to talk to him. I'm really afraid to. ;_;..What should I do ?? =(

ACT & SAT

Okay so I am taking my ACT in October I guess..What should I be expecting? Is it as nervewrecking as it seems? How can I prepare because I am not taking ACT Prep this year..Uhmm..What exactly would be a good score for college and scholorships? Is it a good idea to take both the ACT and the SAT? At school my friends say everyone knows me and i guess it's just because of my personality but a lot of people don't like me. Don't get me wrong i have a lot of friends but i can't stand the fact that a bunch of people don't like me when they don't even know me! I can be annoying and loud but so can other girls. most boys just think im too good and annoying because that's my rep as well as being too smart. Girls seem to like me better than that and give me a chance but those who dont just tick me off. I am a very different type of person but i love myself and what i believe in. I don't want to change myself but how can I get other people to see me as more than my reputation? If you need more details just ask! Thanks so much! :D

I just moved to a new city this summer and it's already the 4th week of school and I only made one friend, and she's only in one of my classes. I really suck at making friends and i'm shy and not the prettiest person in the world so i'm scared i'm never going make friends. A lot of the people here are really stuck up and they are way different from the people where I used to live. Me and and my friends had a really weird since of humor but the people here just aren't funny... I haven't met people that are similiar to my friends at all. I hate it so much that I come home crying a lot and can't eat barley at all. What should I do to feel better?

Need Novel Ideas

For an independent reading assignment for school, I am allowed to pick any type of book (fiction, nonfiction, autobiography, short stories, poems etc)
However, it has to be a book either written during the 1900's-1930's or the plot has to take place or deal with something that occured during the 1900's-1930's
Any good suggestions?

Okay.... well here is my problem, summer fucked me up, ahem well i have completely forgotten how to write a 5 paragraph essay and my teacher this year isnt giving us the handout. so my paper is due by the end of the day like 2:25 pm [U.S. & Canada eastern] and i really really really would like to get this paper done now. since i only have what, twelve hours to do it.

I'm seventeen years old and a senior in high school. I absolutely hate it. I'm a somewhat intelligent kid, but I have a 1.8 GPA and it's because I'm not equipped to handle all the social stress and the environment of high school. I've honestly reached my breaking point. I can't go to school anymore without sobbing uncontrollably either the night before or the morning before. My family has been having a lot of problems lately and I don't want to bother them with mine; I always intended on having a talk with them about possibly homeschooling me but I put it off because they were depressed or in a bad mood. Some of the people I call *friends* are saying crap about me. And I know there not really my friends, we just hang out.. Well they get all surprised when I get pissed. They've made fun of my weight right infront of me! Like I wasn't even there.. and I've lost 15 pounds.. which to me is awsome.
