Getting in too deep... Posted Thursday September 27 2007, 7:26 pm
I'm 19/F, in my third year of university.
I'm starting to really worry. It's about the third week of classes, and I haven't attended nearly enough of them, due to my financial situation (I can't afford to take the bus every day, and the free bus pass I'm supposed to get from the school hasn't arrived yet).
I'm way behind in my studies. I actually ended up skipping class yesterday and missing two labs (both mandatory) due to stress-caused illness. I don't know if I'll be able to get a doctor's note for it.
I've got a bunch of late assignments that I have to do, but it's nearly impossible to do them, because I don't understand any of the course material.
I'm starting to get really...

How can I? Posted Thursday September 27 2007, 2:44 pm
How can I know whether a guy likes me or he's just friendly. My friend asked him who he liked, but he doesn't really tell people. :\
Ok, here are the things he does...
1.I was talking to him in the locker area, and his friend dragged him somewhere so I went to the study room next door, and a few minutes later he came in and said ''Oh I found you, I missed you!'' and pulled me with him.
2. I had a few free lessons in a row, so we hung around together, and we talked a lot.
3. We had an assembly, and he didn't sit with his class, and he came and sat next to me. We would look at each other for a bit, and then make faces.
Also during the assembly he was tapping my knee randomly, and then he was ...

Math Word Problems Posted Tuesday September 25 2007, 6:01 pm
I really am good at math. Last year, we all took an algebra test to pick out students who would be in an advanced class for math the next year. I was one who was chosen. The issue is, even though I understand completely the ideas, on quizzes and tests I don't get 100's or A's any more because there are many word problems. I just can't seem to convert a math word problem to the basic skeleton. Is there any way I can get this all together so I don't have to worry about passing a subject that I actually understand and like? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Ministry of Tourism Posted Tuesday September 25 2007, 10:15 am
My english teacher gave us the most impossible assignment on the planet - we have to write 10 pages (no more, no less) on what the ministry of tourism would say if a island started exporting their "newly found" oil.. and the only info she's given us is that the main source of income for the country comes from the tourism and fishing scene. SO that gives me like a good 5 sentences where I write about how the oil pumps and such will lead to a decrease in tourism.. but how the heck do i fill 10 pages? Everyone in my class agrees that its stupid, we've talked to her and other teahcers about it but they say we HAVE TO do it. So should I just not do it? Or should I just fill out 10 pages by rambling about how ugly the island will look ...

Voice of Democracy Posted Saturday September 22 2007, 3:27 pm

I'm usually creative at writing (I'm in creative writing club at my school & I write stories a lot) and I'm really good at forming stories into words.
But at school, in Gov't class we have to write an essay for Voice of Democracy. It's a contest kind of thing that's really patriotic and they give you a broad topic each year that you can interpret and write something for in various ways. Well, this year is "My role in honoring veterans" I don't know if I can BS that...last year, my friend got a topic that's really easy to write about. But this one, I have no clue.
Veteran as in people who served in a war[s], right? The problem is that I don't know any veterans or how I "...

Project Partner Posted Saturday September 22 2007, 3:21 pm
So we have this science project in Chemistry. The type of projects that go to like the little science fairs and stuff. We can do it with a partner if we want but we don't have to. But the only partner work is the actual experiment. We have to write the papers separately.
Well, I'm always at the school an hour and a half before school starts so I can do the experiment I plan to do at school in the mornings since I have absolutely no time after school. And I'm the kind of person that has to measure out everything and stuff to make sure everything is precise. (Slightly OCD there).
Now that I've said those couple of things:
I asked Bailey if she wanted to do the project with me on Friday without really thin...
