Emotional/Depressed/Stressed

So starting September I began College, I was so stressed I forgot to go to a show I paid 200 dolalrs for. Than my bf parent was drunk and kicked him out so he stayed with me for 2 weeks than he went back as if nothing happened and they didint apologize or talk about or anything. i have lost like all respect for the parent! I still put on a happy face becasue I dont want it interfearing with our 5yr relationship. I am so tight for cash and all I do is wake up go to school come home eat read shower sleep than it all starts all over again. I got very emotional that my bf wasnt calling me back and starting BAWLING! I have not cried like that in Years...and I don't know why I was crying so hard, its so depressing. Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech is very important and should not be limited, assuming it doesn't offend or hurt others.
How is this relevant/acceptable to today? For example, people in countries without freedom of speech like America have to go through ridiculous things when they do try to speak up or change things. Any specific examples (American, preferably), or anything along those lines..?
I have to write an essay for a scholarship contest about that concept, but I can't think of anything especially moving/that will get me noticed..

how to prepare for winter, snow, and cold weather?

I always lived in the south until now. I am in a northern state now that gets A LOT of snow during the winter months. I think the most snow I have EVER seen was like 2 inches? I think last year this state got something like 100 inches at one time? Wow, huge difference, right?
Well, I know it's going to be a lot colder here but I KNOW that I won't really understand that until it's in the middle of winter probably. I want to be prepared though because I don't want to end up freezing all of the time and unhappy.
What are some ways to prepare for winter? Get a heavy jacket? What would I look for then? Should I get snow boots? Should I get gloves and stuff or would I be okay without? How do I keep my house...

fake nails!

I've had fake/acrylic nails for such a long time now (done by a salon). I'm just sick of going every few weeks, so my problem is.. is there any way I can get them off at home? I don't like it when the professionals take them off because it really hurts their way. Is there any products I can use or soak them in to get them off? I've heard soaking them in soapy, warm water helps but that takes forever! Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is voting for a black man because he is black racist?

My best friend and I were talking yesterday about racism and we got on the subject of President Obama being a black man. We both heard people saying things like, "I'm not afraid to vote for a black man," and, "I'm voting for Obama because I'm not racist!" A lot of people we came in contact with seemed to not care what Obama was about but focused more on what color he was. Well, we both got to thinking and...isn't it racist to vote for a black guy just because he is black? Isn't that like NOT voting for a black man because he's black? It sounds pretty much like the same sort of racism, right? I don't know maybe we're over-thinking this sort of thing. What do you think?

I love watching the Olympics but I know they don't have it every year. I'm not sure how often they have the Olympics so I can't figure out when I can watch it again. I don't want to ask my friends because they'll think I'm stupid for not knowing probably. When is the next Olympics? How often do we have the Olympics? So I heard that the e-lottery Syndicate is now not available to US citizens because of some new legislation...is this still true? Is there any chance that it will be lifted or changed? My boobs are fine when they're in a bra, but as soon as I take it off they just are saggyish, and in my opoinion I think it's absolutely gross.
