im in highschool and our school had a vote on council members for each grade.well i was voted representative for my grade! the thing is i dont know what the hay im suppose to do!lol! soooo...does anybody care to fill me in if you know????thanx!!!

For school i have to survey about 50 different people( doesnt matter if i know them or not) I have to find out if they disagree or agree with a school policy and why( tardies,absences,grafiti,lockers,ect.)

I was recently elected student body president. And everyone already thinks I'm a failure.
I was given 400 free t-shirts to give out to the students, but there are 600 students. Everyone is picking on me begging me to "save one for them" or bitching about how its unfair that everyone doesnt get one.. but thats the way it is, i cant do anything about it!!
Now I've already given out about 100, but the system I was using is NOT working since its causing such a big problem.
So Im going to walk around the different classes in two days and tell them that I have XXX (number of shirts) for the class, and that it means not all of them will recieve one, but that they atleast get to choose the sy...

TX, A&M..Early admission??

I am applying to two colleges, Texas A&M and UT.
I am in the top ten percent and i am wondering when the TEXAS A&M Early Admission date ends???
Is there even a Early Admission? Similar to Baylors??
Or does admission come within 2-3 weeks of your completed application sent into the college anytime within these months until the deadline in december or feebuary???
I am asking because school is extremly stressful currently and someone told me that the end of the "Early Admission" is MONDAY OCTOBER 15th that is litterly within a week, and i still have to write two essays and get my recs, transcripts and more!!!
I am super stressed and am soo confused on the whole appl...

thesis for essay?

my english 101 class was assigned to write an explanatory paper on something we believe in. simple enough, right?
wrong. i know the general idea that i want my paper to follow: that people should live everyday like its his/her last, life moves too fast to live with regrets, just LIVE life without worrying so much.
the problem is, i can't think of a specific thesis statement to sum all this up. if someone could help me come up with this, i'd appreciate it. or, if anyone has any suggestions as to whether i should make one of the statements above the thesis, then use some of the others as examples? anything & everything is appreciated!

i'm writing an essay on the french revolution. i started it & it's pretty good, but it needs to be longer, & i need more info. anyone know anything about when/where it began, main figures, how it ended, results of the revolution and why it was significant, or where i can get this information in a short, sweet & to -the-point way rather than a freaking 10-page wikipedia page, i'd really appreciate it=]

test grade

I just got a HORRIBLE grade on a test. Definitely failed. I've never gotten a grade so low, and I don't know what to do or think. I can't make it up or get extra credit. I keep crying and I've never gotten under a B+ on my report card. I know you guys can't help me magically change my grade, but any words of comfort? Thanks so much.

14/f 9th grade
ok so ever since like 5th grade i was SOO excited to go to higschool and well now that im in it, its like NOTHING like i expected it to be and well i hate it. I guess you could say i'm kind of like a floater...i dont really fit into a crowd really and well it sucks, and i'm almost failing all my classes because all the homework and classwork is so overwhelming and i'm not used to it. But will it get better? Because i dont want to be floating around highschool all four years. And how was your first year of highschool?

I was wondering if its likely for me to get a scholarship to a good college. I don't have straight A's, mainly B/B+'s with a couple A's. But I also play 2 sports, one I made varsity as a sophomore, and the other i kind of just play for fun. I'm also in a community service club. Do you think I have a chance of getting a scholarship? because i have 2 other siblings and my dad cant afford to put us all in good colleges. I'm just asking for opinions mainly. thanks!

why am I scared of teachers?

Well, I'm 15 and a sophomore. I'm also a girl..I'm a good student and polite to people.
And I have this HORRIBLE fear of talking to teachers, one-on-one (especially if they're male..or strict O_O). Whenever I find out I have to ask them to fix something or for help, I get extremely tense and stressed out. I can't do anything at that moment, and I have to ask a million people for advice. Anxiety overcomes me. I don't know, honestly, what the hell I'm afraid of. Does anyone have the same problem? Do you think it's easy to overcome it? :(

HOMECOMING DANCE!!!!

I'm going to homecoming in 2 weeks, (yes our homecomingt is kinda late) and im a freshman, and ive never been to a real dance before becuase i use to go to a private school wear they didnt have dances. I have a date, but I just dont know what to excpet, like how to dance and grind on stuff. Any got some tips/pointers. thanku!!!

I am in this course called GIS and it is requiring us to do a project called road trip starting fro ma major west coast city ending in a major east coast city. I started from Portland OR then went to Salt Lake City UT, Santa Fe NM, Little Rock AK, Blacksburg, Virginia and Then ended in new York City, NY but I live in chicago. I know nothing about Portland or anywhere else and I want to be as specific as possible. can sombody please tell me something they love or hate about the states if you live in it to help me? World History Assignment

Alright, my class and I are doing this group project about 'First Intermediate, 7-11th Dynasties, Achievements and Pyramids' project.
It's due this Friday but I can't find no good sites having to do with Achievements and Pyramids.
My teacher said if one person doesn't have this done by Friday, the whole group would get a 0. And I don't want to be the reason.
So does anyone know where I can get GOOD sites for (Ancient) Egypt, 8, 9, 10, and 11th Dynasties on Pyramids and Achievements?

blah.. so i didnt have a bad day today at school, but i didnt have a good one either. it all started in third pd, when this kid on the football team made a comment to me about my boyfriend. i got pretty upset. didnt cry or anything, but got mad i guess you could say. um lunch i was talking about boobs(embarrassing, i know) haha and my close friend i think got mad at me because i told her what i said about hers and she has big ones, not like im a lezbo or anything because im def. not. but ya know, and then i felt bad.. she never said she was mad or anything, but i just think she was. last thing was in 9th pd. this one girl whos not really my friend anymore made a comment to me, like \"wheres your man bitch\" just thought id...

GPA help.

I'm extremely worried about my GPA..And I don't know how to calculate it. Please help me out..
Last year, I had a 3.9. And that was in my freshman year. This year (Sophomore), I'm messing up in Chemistry, and so far, I have a C. Chemistry is honors for me. The other classes I have are : English 2 Honors : I have an A, A.P European History: I have a B, Algebra 2 Honors: I have an A, Creative Writing (not honors): I have an A and P.E (not honors lol): I have an A.
I think that the Chemistry will seriously screw my GPA up. Will having honors classes help me somehow...by not dropping me down too much in the unweighted GPA? ;_;...And if I get like a 3.2 GPA or something...can I pull it up to a 3.7 or something easil...
