How to stop this habit?

My whole life, I've had a terrible habit. I bite off the skin in my mouth; Kind of where my lips are, but on the inside of my mouth. I do this everyday and I want to stop it... I do it when I'm anxious, nervous, or just thinking. Whenever new skin grows, I peel it off with my teeth. My mouth eventually bleeds, but stops after awhile. This is a habit I just can't seem to break. Chewing gum works, but only for awhile. What can I do?

Its not herpes.. so what is it?

I was scared to death i had herpes.
I had all the symptoms.
Itching face,at times tingling, burning lips.
& these little not too noticeable lip colored flat circles on my lips & a white mark.
But my test came back negative :)
So what's wrong with me? A doc said it could be from the weather. & the circles could be a cold sore. But how could I have a cold sore without herpes? Could someone explain that it have an idea what it could be. Also how can I get rid of these little circles? & tingling? Abreeva doesn't work when I thought I had it.

birth control issue's

hi I'm taking birth control to help regulate my periods because they're so heavy and I'm anemic but yesterday I was bleeding and I was wondering if that's normal or if it's just my period but it's really light which is unusual and I have no cramps (also unusual). I've been taking the pill at a regular time everyday too so I'm really confused!!! what is going on with my body???

WEIRD STOMACH PAIN?!

Lately i have been getting a reallly weird pain in my stomach area. It is on my lower right side and it is not that painful but it still hurts a bit. Also, the pain comes and goes. I usually get it every 5 or 7 minutes. I am really scared because my first thought was that i have those worms in the liver. However, i have a quite good diet. I don't really exercise but my diet is quite healthy. However, i drink a lot of coke and i have heard some horrible stories about coke piercing your stomach and stuff. Please if you have an idea of what it is or how to stop it tell me!!

my knee is weird

I can take my knee cap and pull it out of where it's supposed to be (completly painlessly) And can easily put it back. It's not dislocated, because it only comes out if I try to pull it out. Does it mean I'm double jointed, because my sister could do the same thing with her elbow.

I'm a 14 y/o female. I sweat a lot in my underarm area. I sweat there when I'm nervous, mad, hot, scared, ect. Anyway, I feel like I stink a lot. If I wear deodorant, I smell like deodorant. I feel like I still stink when I get out of the shower. I don't eat spicy foods or like garlic or anything; I watch what I eat. But I just feel gross and stinky all the time. What do I do about this? I shower everyday (I wash my hair every other day though, I use a shower cap). I feel like I still have morning breath after I brush my teeth even though I brush every morning thoroughly. I don't know what to do. I don't want to talk to anyone about this at all..

Facial cleansers

We'll currently I've been using Mary Kay face cleanser but I keep getting blackheads and my acne will calm down and then go back to normal again. I'm thinking of switching to clean and clear but I don't know which products I should get. I'm only 13 and I don't wear any makeup at all. I just want my acne to go away. Clean and clears products have some really good reviews but there are a couple that scare me. I'm also doing sports so I need something to help with the oil from sweat. I wish I new my skin type for sure, but I think I have sensitive combonation skin but I'm not positive :/ But any help would be mouth appreciated!

Chest hurts after hookah pen?

I will be 16 in two months, female, and from the US.
So, my friend got a hookah pen yesterday. I am familiar with them and have used them a few times, but I never had any problems after.
All of them that I've tried have been nicotine free, and I did use them only occasionally over the summer and maybe once or twice since then considering I don't own one myself.
But my friends boyfriend got her one for their anniversary and she was really excited about it. This was at about 3:00pm yesterday. I used it probably about 4 times in the next hour(when she left), but I was trying to do tricks. I can't remember for sure, but I don't think my chest hurt then.

For some weird reason my butt feels moist but my pants dont get stained afterwards.I was told that a cist can be the cause of this i'm not sure because i use to have a cist which was home treated and went away but left a mark.Even before i had a cist i still had a smelling problem.This has been going on for about three years already but i was scared to tell anyone and i still am. This is very embarrassing to say but i always carry two water bottles and either body wash or shampoo to school with me and just wash myself when i go to the bathroom.This has ruined my life so bad that i have to sit in the staircase and eat my lunch there and lie to my friends that i have to go somewhere which i dont and i cant even hug.please someone help me im 1...

Hi, I am a young boy of 18 and I am going to choose my univeristy. I would like to start studying something related with periodontology, I know from wikipedia that it is the specialty of dentistry that studies supporting structures of teeth, as well as diseases and conditions that affect them. I also found a website whose name is Zerodonto, where I have read something written by famous Doctors like Pierpaolo Cortellini, Maurizio tonetti, Giovanni zucchelli, Giano ricci, Jan Lindhe, Dennis tarnow, and Stephen Chen about this field, can you suggest other sources where to find more information?

Eczema in ears??

I'm 15/f. I have very bad plague psoriasis on my scalp and I also have very bad eczema in my ears. It's like the psoriasis but in my ears. It's like my ears peel off these extra chunks of skin tissue. It's disgusting and I get bullied for it. It sucks so much and I just want it to go away. What are some home remedies I can whip up to prevent and eventually stop this? It makes me super upset when people point it out

I dont understand whats going on, i'm 15 years old and i'm a girl this looks pretty bad on me.Everytime i sit or i dont even have to do anything but i feel as something humidity is coming from my butt.I need help please i dont know what do and i dont like the way i'm living i just want to be me.Everyone gives me looks and my friend said i dont stink but i dont understand. Does semen die on contact with water?

The question entered my mind when an ignorant individual said on Yahoo that they thought that a woman could get pregnant from a swimming pool if semen was in the water. I specifically was of the thought that the a woman could use the cheapest and most prevalent form of birth control if after unprotected intercourse she sat herself down in a bathtub and directed the spray up into her vagina. The spray that I'm talking 'bout is that of a water nozzle that would spray water at fairly high pressure. If water does in fact kill semen then there would be no need for all these shenanigans re: abortion. Of course there would still be the problem of STDs.

Yeast Infection Cure

I hate to say it, but I have a yeast infection. I'm not humiliated about it, as many women get at least one in their lifetime. Anyhow, obvious I don't like that I have one but I need to know how to get rid of one.
I've seen many things on the internet but I've come here in the hopes someone will be able to offer me personal experience? Either way, any advice helps. Thanks on advance!

(Please don't tell me to go to a doctor.. I realize most people here are not doctors, but I want personal opinions..)
Hi. I'm 14 years old, and my BMI is considered "Normal weight". Anyway, I've been counting calories since late 2011. I was quite young when I started. I was bullied for my weight when I was younger, so I didn't want to get any bigger. Anyway, I keep close watch on my sugar intake, sodium intake, etc. I eat less than 1000 calories a day.. Probably 500 a day or around there. I'm not limiting myself, I just don't really have a good past with food, causing me to not eat. I starve pretty frequently since I have trouble with figuring out what to eat (Like making sure it's not too "fatty"). I CON...

Should I Have This Lump Examined?

I'm a huge hypochondriac and I've gotten to where I can't run afford to run to the doctor unless I know there might be a problem.
The other night, I noticed a lump on the upper left side of my chest and there are certain things that bother me about it. I had a relative look at it and she's insisting that it's nothing but a rib. However, I've tried and tried and I can't find an identical lump on the opposite side of my chest, which there should be if it's a rib. Also, it feels slightly softer than a bone, it moves a little, and it hurts. Maybe a better word would be that's it's uncomfortable.
I've looked it up and, aside from cancer, it could be a sebaceous cyst or it could indeed be a bone. Should I get it looked at or am I making too much of this?

hard white bumps inside scrotum skin

I've had this problem for a little while now. I get these hard bumps in my scrotum skin. Not on top of skin but under a layer or two of skin. Sometimes they get really sore. some are on the upper layer of skin and I can poke with a sterile needle and stringy white stuff like pimple stuff strings out but then theres the ones that's a hard ball under skin that hurts bad sometimes and you squeeze them inside and nothing will come out it just hurts more and more but you can feel this hard little ball there. Some of them I have dug down through skin to the point you can see this little white ball and eventually I get it dug out but have to cut it away from the skin it seems to be attached to. late bloomer?

Hi again, so yesterday I asked about how I could possibly make my boobs grow, and this great user answered with a stupendous response that sprouted hope in me. One thing he said was that I was a late bloomer. (and if you're the user, please answer this (:) I'm not sure about that because, when I was 12, my hips grew, and I got pimples, and I got my period when I was 11. I passed through all those things... but my boobs didn't. Am I still a late bloomer?

How to make my boobs grow?

So, I've pretty much tried everything; breast massage, papaya juice, but they're still the same size. How could I possibly make them grow? I'm only 14, but I'm afraid that they won't grow because my dad's side has literally nothing whereas my mom has big boobs. But If I were to have boobs, wouldn't they have started growing already? I've already gotten my period and everything.. somebody help!!!!!!!!

Costochodritis and Karate

I was diagnosed with costochondritis during the month of May this year. Before that, I had always had slight chest pains that had simply incremented this year thanks to the fatigue and mental stress I went through in the science fair. I am currently eighteen and female, recently having gotten myself into some Karate clases which I have found I actually like. However, last time I went, we did so many push ups, sit ups and punches to the stomach, that now my entire chest and abdominal areas are sore to the point where everytime I breath or move too much it causes jolts of pain - no doubt this is costochodritis coming back for a vengeance. I already bought the uniform and everything, but should I keep going to the clases or cut on the exercise...
