stain

Posted Wednesday February 28 2007, 9:45 pm

a few days ago i got a stain on my jeans from my period. what i did was i put tide to go on it, scrubbed it with soap and water and rinsed it out. i put it in the laundry room for my mom to wash it and she did. the thing is, its still there! i cant wear them anymore and they were one of my better jeans. is there anything i can do to get it out or are they no longer wearable?

Anyone who can give me an advice for the unwanted pubic hair?
I've been using this VEET Cream to remove my hair down there but they have said that it's not adviceable for genital areas. I also tried using wax but it's super painful. I can't stand it. Last is just shaving but i experience itchiness. I dunno what would i use now.. I really don't like hair down there so please help me guys to choose which product is best and safe for this situation. Thanks in advance. God Bless..

Merino Wool Sweater

Posted Monday January 1 2007, 7:57 pm

I recently washed my new 100% merino wool sweater and it shrunk considerably. It said to hand wash cold, reshape and lay out to dry. I put it in my washing machine (I have an HE front loading washer) on handwash cold and then in the dryer at the "no heat" selection. My question is, does wool actually shrink or will it reshape after another wash (I hand washed it and layed it out after I found out it shrunk).

Thanks

REALLY dirty carpet

Posted Friday December 22 2006, 2:30 pm

I need help cleaning my carpet. Somehow my toddler managed to rub into her bedroom carpet what seems to be ketchup, toothpaste, shampoo, and maybe some other things.

I haven't been able to climb stairs due to pregnancy complications and we've been sleeping downstairs. So imagine my surprise when I crawl up the stairs to finish new baby preparations to find these things dried into the carpet.

It is so gross. How do I clean it? My baby is due in just a week and I really want the carpet clean before she gets here. Also, the cheaper the better. Thanks so much!

permanent? or an easy fix?

Posted Tuesday December 19 2006, 7:59 pm

I accidentally bleached my favorite shirt while doing laundry. This shirt means so much to me. I only bleached a few spots here-and-there on my left side of the shirt, and a stained about 3 inches wide directly on the bottom.

Could I re-dye it? It has text on it so Idk if that would affect it.

How about going over it with some kind of fabric marker or something? Would that work at all?

Please help, and give me some suggestions. Please don't give me "sorry it's ruined forever" because I know there's a way to fix it.

Thanks in advance!!

cleaning the bathroom

Posted Sunday November 26 2006, 6:41 pm

Okay, in your honest opinion does CRL, Lime Away, Kaboom or whatever work? What cleaning products do you think is the best to get rid of tough stains like the one in my tub. I don't know why but about 5in up the sides there is a color difference and it's darker and I think it's caused by my laziness of not cleaning it as often and as much as I need. So I need to know what cleaners work the ebst in bathrooms and how to get rid of that stain easily.

Scented Clothing

Posted Saturday November 18 2006, 1:28 pm

My clothes have an empty smell to them. In fact, they don't smell like anything. Are there any detergents out there that give clothes that fresh smell to them? My mom has been using the Original All and things that get clothes clean, but nothing that makes them smell nice. Are there any brands that seem to qualify?

Wooden Floors

Posted Sunday November 12 2006, 3:14 pm

I have wooden floors in my bedroom and tile floors in my bathroom (the bedroom and bathroom are connected). I'm pretty much obsessed with organization and cleanliness. I vacuum the tile and wood once a week. How often should I scrub the floors down with Pine Sol and my Floor Mate? My room doesn't get much traffic except from me.
