Camera Flashes

Whenever I take a photo, I blink. I have bug eyes, but my eyes go half-closed or shut at the flashes. My eyes stay perfectly open and look fine along with the rest of my face when there's no flash, but direct photos with flashes, there's no hope. I took school pictures in September, and I looked awful. I am not just saying that. My eyes were half-shut and my face was shiny. I am going to take re-takes on Nov. 7th, and I want to know if there's any way I can have them take a photo with no flash, or if I can bring in my own photo for IDs and yearbook. I am terribly embarrassed that every time I try to take a good picture, my face looks horrible. I blame this on flash. What can I do to just suffice a good school photo. I haven't had a good pic...

what do you say to someone whos crying? isnt "are you okay?" a stupid question because obviously the person is not okay otherwise they wouldnt be crying. what else can you say? to 1. a stranger 2. an acquantince

I am 16 by the way, but look 14. I'm pretty flat up top, but I have a huge butt, which concerns me when I picture it with that skirt.

ok,so this guy asked me to homecoming and i said yes... but i'm a little concerned that it might be awkward? he told me he'd take care of finding a group to go with and stuff but every time i ask he's like "i don't really care which group we go in" and that he has options and we'll see and maybe we don't need a group. ....which i donno, just me and him might be a little weird. so how can i make sure i have fun and that the whole situation isnt weird? and also, am i like allowed to dance w/ other people or do i have to dance w/ just him?

Arm Bumps

On the top half of my arm below my shoulder and above my el ow are these bumps.
they are small and look like zits but they arent for sure
ive had them since about 5th grade and am now in 9th.
any idea what they are or how you can cure them.
going to the dermatologist or doctor is out of the question.

A hairstyle for the first day of high school?!

14/f I just got done doing a musical at a local teens summer theatre program and I got pretty close with my fellow cast members. I recently organized a group of kids from the show to take a subway out to the big city to go see a play together. Three people replied and said they wanted to go. Those three people are freshman, like me. However, my mom said needed an adult to supervise us once we get to the big city...meaning, to go see the play with us and walk us back and forth to the subway station. My director lives in the big city and he's the one who suggested the idea in the first place, so naturally I invited him to come along instead of a parent.
I was still a bit iffy about inviting the director, it might seem kind of ...

Wedding present

Hi,
(I asked this question a few days ago and it got deleted. I am not sure why, but if an L2+ zapps it again, could I please be told the reason.)
Anyhow, I have a friend who is getting married this month. I really need some advice on a wedding gift.
Basically the situation is as follows. The guy is in his mid thirties, his wife is a bit younger. I know him quite well, though we are not very close friends. I have never met his wife since she steers clear of our "guy" activities. He is having his wedding abroad and then holding a party at home for friends and family.
Thats pretty much all the relevant info that I can think of. I need an appropriate gift idea, and I am ab...

Good Conversation

Either I have very boring friends, or I'm a really boring person. Either way good conversation doesnt come easily for me. How do I get quiet people to talk, and keep a conversation going well? I'm going into high school in 3 days, so I want to make more friends and be popular, but after I introduce myself, theres a big gap in the conversation, and its awkward.
