washing strawberries?

what's so wrong with washing straberries after they're cut? my family studies teacher screamed when she saw someone doing that! i was pretty scared, but didn't see much of a big deal of what it can do to the strawberries.

cheese dip

I really love this mexican reastraunt, and i go one to two times a week. the only reason i go there is because of the cheese dip, it is really good! it is white, and kind of thin. does anyone know the full recipe? i tried googleing it, but it says it has alot of onions, which i dont taste!if you do, please tell me the recipe, and if it is odd ingredents,(ingredients is prob spelled wrong) tell me where i can get the odd ingredients.

Decorations on Cake?

I'm baking a cake for my sister (for her birthday) and I don't know what kind of designs to put on it. I want to use candy to decorate it but I couldn't find any sites that had displays or examples. I don't know if I should design the cake to be birthday-ish (use frosting to make balloons and streamers) or design it with a lot of candy. Can anyone help?

Okay, so I was cooking homemade mashed patatoes for dinner tonight. I was boiling the butter and milk and the handle was out, like not behind the stove like it's supposed to be. I didn't think it was that big of a deal because it was going to take like a minute. Well, I'm a flipping retard. I accidentally knocked it over and the boiling milk and butter spilled on my hand. And it burns reallly bad. This happened over a half hour ago. I put it under cold water and it felt fine, but then a minute after I took it off the water, it burns again. Now I have ice on it because I got sick of getting up a millon times.
I was watching Degrassi last night, and the lady said hot water was better than cold. Is this true? What else can I do to help it stop burning?

How much trouble who someone get in if they were underage drinking, urinating in public, and had a fake ID. For the state of Ohio, but if you know just your state, that's fine too. I'm just curious around what the concequence would be. At the age of 17. This isn't for me, but someone I know. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!

Cooking kidneys (Pork)

I enjoy pork meat, but it has become too expensive, the affordable portion of pork meat for me seems to be the kidneys. I would like to know how can I make my kidney test good, and how long does it take to cook kidneys?

you know those really thick, doughy sugar cookies you can get at walmart and other grocery stores? They come in a lot of cookie boquets with loads of icing? they look similar to these:

Birthday Dinner

alright. im 17 and my boyfriend is turning 20. just for back ground details.
for his birthday i want to make him dinner. i just dont know what to cook for him. im not a pro chef or anything but i guess im not that bad. he likes italian food a lot...soo any ideas?
and then any ideas just for like setting up the dinner its self? i was kinda thinking of setting up a table outside on my deck because it will be a nice summer night and i live on a lake with a good view of the sunset.

seafood allergies

im 16 and have never touched seafood.. mainly because were not sure if im allergic my mom is allergic and so is my grandpa.. but my dad isnt and he lovessss it. well yeah ive never tried it because im afraid of the consequences but also when i was little it didnt look appealing to me to eat.. now that im 16 it loooks sooo good and my mouth waters watching everyone around me eating it. I really want to try it.. My mom called the doctor and they said the only way to find out if im allergic is to try it and wait to see any results. Is that really the only way to find out? what if i am allergic and i eat it>???

there's a meal that you make from noodles (my ex-friend used spagetti noodles) and SOY SAUCE was the main ingredient i think... and its sposed to have stir fried vegetables in it..we didn't have any though. and i was wondering if anyone knew what it was and/or how to make it so that i can make it tonight. her and I arn't friends or on speaking terms at this point so i can't ask her... can anyone help plz?

Gooey Pans

When I cook using cooking spray, it leaves brown
sticky gooey junk in my pans. It looks awful and
it is impossible to get off.
Does anyone know how to cook with the spray
so it doesn't do this?
