I have been getting zits ever since the beginning of 7th grade. I really hate it. And I use Clean & Clear to clear them up, but the product doesn't exactly work. Do u know any product that will work? What advice would u give me? I looked at ur Zits link, but i've tried all of that..and i still get zits. Please tell me what products u use! It's hard to walk in school when a lot of boys are staring.. (link)

hey darlin. i totally know how u feel. i went to a dermatologyst in my area, and she prescibed a bunch of stuff bfr. we found anything that worked. if u have super sensitive skin like my'n then u may not be able to use products with benziol peroxide, or if u do they may be making ur skin worse, and drying out parts that shouldn't be dried out. although dermatologysts are expensive, this is one investment that really can improve ur life b/c once u have clear healthy skin u have more confidence, u cary urself better, ur more likely to make more friends etc. which ever derm. u end up going to, ask them about prescribing u with tetracycline which is a pill u take twice a day. each refill is about 12 dollars, and u get it refilled once a month. each prescription lasts about 4 months, but they can always prescribe more. also ask about the cream called differin. it has 0.1% adapalene which is a non-drying agent, but is very potent. u wear this only at night, and costs about 110$ for each refill, which is about every month. both of these prescriptions make ur skin very sensitive to the sun, so u would need to be willing to stop tanning and whenever ur in the sun be sure to use a very strong sunscreen. another thing that i did when i first started this regimine was microdermabrasion which costs about 100$ per session, and i had i think 6 sessions done. u get it once a week for 6 weeks, and what they do is go over ur skin many many times with what's like a super strong tiny vacume. it sucks away the top layer of skin cells and also causes pimples and other blemishes to rise to the surface so they can be taken care of quicker. after they do the vacume thing, they do extractions. this is using special tools to extract the pus from pimples and the other impurities from clogged pores. it hurts like a mother, and ur skin does look irritated for about a day afterwords, but after the six weeks, and if u stay on the tetracycline and differin, u'll have the absolute most beautifull skin ever. even though it's expensive, always remeber what the end results will be, and stay confident. another thing that u can do is to invest in a really good makeup, like clinique. they have a foundation called clarifying makeup clear skin formula, which doesn't clog pores, and it covers uneven skin tones miraculously. all their makeup is made with nothing that can harm ur skin, so u can wear amazing makeup everyday and not be worried that it'll make ur skin worse. also, remember to always smile, cuz that brings ppls attention away from imperfections and shows them that although ur not perfect, u know how to have fun and are a confident person. oh! one last thing: never pick at ur skin! this is pretty much an imposible thing, but when u do that, it causes cell walls to break, and the bacteria to spread, causing the blemishes to spred. so make an appointment with a dermatologyst, go to clinique, wear a smile, and don't put ur hands on ur face except to wash it and put on ur makeup (the cleanser i use is aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser which has 0.5% salicylic acid which is also very gental but works well (i wash w/that twice a day) and i use a moisturizer ever night bfr i use the differin called olay sensitive moisture therapy cream. this helps the skin not get dryed out while not clogging the pores, so the differin still works.) good luck! any more questions u can im me on aim at sarahlee258skt
