you probably need a bachelors degree but it depends on the hospital, you might could just do a practicum and that would work as well.

i graduate this december with a degree in ece, i plan on becoming a child life specialist, I plan on doing a praticum at a hospital and then applying for a position. Check into it they make really god money help children in the hospital setting.
