Well this sounds a bit like my situation.My girlfriend (35 years old) also "shuts off" when i mention important issues about our relationship.I tell you i deserve a medal of patience because this has been happening for 3 years now and this "shutting off" can carry on for days.It,s very disturbing when your partner completely ignores and wont speak.
In the beginning i logically jumped to conclusions that she was interested in somebody else but now i believe it,s something in the past that,s affected her to react this way?
