I only started my period last month but it was normal and lasted 5 day..but this month i thought i had it but i've only had blood come out once, does this mean it wasn't my period or was it just really short?

16/F. So, this guy I've had a crush on for a few months asked me to Homecoming. We went and I had a lot of fun. We stayed very close all night, as in his arm never left my shoulders and my arm never left his waist. Except when I walked it out, but I digress. We cuddled and snuggled into each other a lot, but we never kissed(I could tell he wanted to, but I thought it was too soon). He's very shy, sweet, and an all-around good guy. I'm really thankful I picked through all of the arrogant losers at my school and found this boy. :-) But anyways, we haven't talked since Homecoming(which was this past saturday, so about three days ago). Even at Homecoming, we didn't talk much. We just joked around a bit, held each other and danced(we didn't grind, I'm a classy lady ;-]) and looked into each others' eyes; I felt a very strong connection. Now I like him more than ever. We're both really shy and kind of awkward, so I'm unsure of how to take this to the next level. Before we can have a relationship, we need to learn how to talk to each other. And from the way he interacts with people he knows well, I know that if we just break the ice then we can really communicate. However, I don't know how to go about doing that. At the same time, his good friend has just started dating one of my best friends, so maybe we could doubledate? On the flipside, I'm very hesitant and cautious. I've been very unlucky in love and this is the first time something has gone right. I don't want to ruin it. I almost don't want to pursue him because i'm so scared, but now I have an emotional attachment to him. Probably from all of the cuddling at Homecoming. Any advice? (link)
