There's an old saying "Treat em mean keep em keen" well that's just as extreme as some guys who think being a jerk is the only way to get women interested in you.
Ignoring him is not necessarily what's needed, the key in relationships is to not come across needy, I spend my time advising guys on how to get/keep interest with women and most of the cases I come across where guys are struggling is due to the fact they are coming across as needy, reliant, desperate.
Both sexes find people attractive who are self assured within themselves, people who don't need to have someone in their life to remain happy and content (now remember I said need not want).
So of you like someone who doesn't currently show interest in you then forget about it for now, go out with friends, go out on dates, it's amazing how people change when they see you with someone else.
