Hello everyone! I have just borrowed HDD of a friend of mine with movies and video clips, I wanted to upload them onto my mp3 player but it happened that it doesn't support playback of mp4 files, it's avi only device. Can you help me to find a way to convert video files from mp4 to avi format? (link)

Well, to convert mp4 to avi, you may download mp4 converter or avi converter, here i think you can try video converter that can enocde mp4 to avi format or any other file like wmv, mov, etc. good luck.
