can anyone give me pointers on how to make one of those? the tutorial in the "daring book for girls" did not really help. peach pit rings!! :D (link)

First, you let a peach pit dry out. The longer you let it dry, the stronger it will be , so your ring will be good quality. then, you file the sides down on the side walk (watch your fingers!). when there's a hole in the pit, and you can see through it, you know ur almost there... when that hole is big enough, poke your finger through...
Tah-dah! You now have a peach pit ring.
ps. you may wanna smooth out the hole by rolling up sand paper and twirling it aroung, so it wont hurt to wear ur ring.
