Sometimes if I can't fall asleep at night- I'll drink one or two smirnoffs, or a mikes hard lemonade, and then I pass right out. I don't do this often and I know I don't have a problem. I'm most definitely not an alcholic- I know my limits and I'm not irresponsible. I was just wondering if anyone knows a better way to get some sleep without having to drink. I'm scared of sleeping pills, so those aren't an option. Thanks. (link)
I suffered from this same problem. It is generally caused by your Brain refusing to switch off. If you find that you can not sleep because you are thinking of something like work or school or even a problem, then my advise to Read!! No matter how interesting the book, your eyes will start to droop and your Brain will think of something other than your problems. Wait until you find you are nodding off, then switch off the lights and close your eyes. Think about what you have been reading and you will find this helps you to nod off. Good luck. P.S Not horror books!!
