I moved to New York City recently and have yet to begin the tedious task of finding a salon to get my hair cut at. I mean I still go to my old salon where I used to live whenever I visit, I'm so intimidated. Usually I would turn to Google, but seeing as its NYC and there are hundreds of salons out there, could anybody recommend a good salon thats not uber expensive. I live on the Upper East Side, but I can go to any place on Manhattan. I just get it cut (at my old place that included a shampoo), no coloring or anything if that helps any.
Thanks! (link)

i know how hard it can be to find a good inexpensive salon in nyc...i go to a place called mudhoney...its all the way down on sullivan street so i dont know if thats too out of the way for you but i do love it there!!! the guy who cuts my hair is named corvette, i know wierd name but he is really great at what he does, i have a complicated haircut that i wouldnt trust it to just anyone but he knows what he is doing...he is young and up to date on new styles and whatnot...he charges me 83$ which yea i guess is pricey but he really takes his time and is very meticulous so to me its worth it...you can look it up online...the place can be a lil intimidating at first bc everyone who works there is like super punk rock but im telling you, you will not be dissapointed...
good luck!
