Has anyone here ever gotten their nails done with a glitter french tip? Everytime I asked for it, the technician keeps telling me that the glitter nail polish itself is too light for the color to show up. How did you get it? I've heard of colored acrylic, are they supposed to used that instead? Should I bring in a picture to show them? Thanks in advance for your help. (link)
I get my nails done with glitter tips all the time. What my nail technician does is she goes to Michaels or anyother craft store and buys different colored glitters. Red blue green, you name it. Then she mixes some of the glitter with the acrylic, it looks white but when she puts it on the nails only the glitter shows up, the acrylic is clear. She only does the tips of the nails with the glitter, than fills the rest of the nail with the regular pink (for pink and whites). Then she just goes over it with a clear polish. So, no... there is no glitter fingernail polish involved. All acrylic. Hope this made sense and helps!! =)
