I just had my muffler replaced, but now occasionaly when I accelerate or am inbetween gears I hear a noise like there is a friction of some sort or that something is catching (sorry not too descriptive, I know).

I am planing on asking my mechanic, but in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? And is it worth worrying about? (link)
I have a manual that used to do the same thing, it was the transmission in mine, so it's probably the same in yours. If you're hearing noises when you accelerate or inbetween gears the transmission is probably catching between gears. I'd definately have a mechanic check it out. I let mine go and it just got worse and worse till I finally lost a gear. Hope this helped
