I'm on Yaz birth control. My boyfriend and I still always use a condom when we have sex, just in case.. but lately I've been wanting to have sex without a condom, but I don't know if that's a stupid decision or not.
He says he doesn't want to.. well it's not that he doesn't want to, he just doesn't wanna risk it.
So I'm just wondering... What are the odds that I will get pregnant on Yaz? Also, if there's a history of the woman in my family being very fertile, is there more of a chance I will get pregnant.. even if I am on birth control?
Any precautions I should take if I have sex without a condom? I'd appreciate any advice, thanks! (link)

I'm on Yaz birth control too. I've been on it for the past nearly three years. My ex husband and I never used condoms and we never got pregnant. I always heard as long as you take the pill within three hours of the time you took it the night before, it will work. Also, if you happen to miss ONE night and as long as you remember to take it the next morning, it will still work. This has also been true for me. I've probably missed a night maybe.. 3 times in the past three years, and still no baby!
I've had a couple of boyfriends since my husband and I split up and didn't use condoms (although I know that wasn't smart for other reasons than pregnancy...)and I still haven't gotten pregnant. Although I'm still aware there's a small chance that it could happen, it more likely than not won't happen. It hasn't to me. But everyone is different.
I'm not trying to discourage you from using protection. It's definitely a good idea to protect yourself from diseases. But don't freak out and obssess over getting pregnant if you're a responsible pill user and don't use a condom.
