Okay.
I used to have a thing with a guy, but because of my unpopularity he was too embarrassed to admit it. That was a while ago. Now, I'm pretty much stable where I am, and am pretty well liked.
Here is the dilemma. One of his best friends, whom I used to hate, actually turns out not to be such a bad person. We have Spanish together. I don't know if he likes me, but I think he definitely likes to look at me. :)
But how do I talk to him? I don't know how much he knows and me and his friend. That could be a problem.
Also, I ONLY have Spanish with him, in which I literally sit in the middle of him and all his friends (thankfully not the guy I fell out with though), and I hardly see him other times.
All his friends know me, and if I tried flirting with him, I KNOW they'd call me out on it. Is it even possible for me to flirt with this guy (and keep his interest) without letting his friends know?
I was trying to brainstorm how I could see this guy others places, but I simply can't. Help please? And thanks in advance. (link)

Well first of all, the fact that this guy in spanish class is best friends with the guy that you had a thing with, doesn't stop you from talking or even flirting with the "spanish class guy" because guys are not like us girls. They don't really follow that "I don't go for my best friend's ex" kind of thing. Unless the guy was totally in love with you and all that. And I think you care too much about the people around you, which makes you hesitate to go for him ... Maybe? Just relax .. You're still young, have fun, and enjoy flirting with him, but not too much, if he flirts back then that's a good sign.
Maybe you could first start by talking to him in spanish class ... talk alot .. first. Then you could both hang out during lunch or something, then you could start flirting. like get to know him first and all.
