Ok well here's my problem, my mom is like super christian and I think I wanna follow by the rules of buddah and I want to be boodist! but I still belive in god! I dunno what one to choose. And plus if I do decide to become budist I dont wanna tell my mom! I dont know what to Do! arg! help! (link)

After reading most of these answers I could do nothing but laugh.
Okay, being a buddhist doesn't mean your worshiping another god, like said below its more of a philosophy than a religion.
In the bible it states "Do not put another god before me," What does this mean? As long as the christian god (Jesus) is first in your book you can explore other religions. Just don't tell your mother ;-)
And as for you other "christian's" pressuring this person, just shut up. I hate how you always push your religion on other people like its some duty. Do buddhist's plaster billboards up every where and scream at you telling you your going to end up in a firey pit if you don't accept them? Not that I've seen.
