Alright. I have this guy bestfriend whom I have known for 2-3 years. I used to move a lot when I was younger, and this is the first time I've actually remained in one city. He's the most person that I am closest to. We used to date but we broke up, then that's when we became best friends. He moved to Austin awhile back, but we still talked everyday. I got a boyfriend that I'm in love with which I've been dating for like 6 months now. My best friend came back down from Austin for the summer. When I saw him I got mixed feelings for him, but I brushed it off. Then, he finally told me he had strong feelings for me. He's always had feelings for me. But I don't think the feeling is mutual. I love him to death, but I'd rather be with the boyfriend I have now. My best guy/friend has been chasing after me all summer. Finally, he's realized that he should just stop trying because it's getting no where except more drama and tears for the both of us. I suggested that we should just be friends, but he came out with "It's hard to be friends when I am madly in love with you. It hurts too much." So, we talked it out... and the only resort came down to completely NOT talking anymore. Basically from best of friends to nothing; not even acquaintances. I don't know if that will work out. I love him, but not in that way. I would like him as a best friend, but he says we can't do that. He says that we should stop calling each other and whatever. I don't know if this is really going to work. I just want everything resolved. Advice anyone? [If anyone understood this paragraph] (link)

HI, well i guess the best thing to do in this situation would be to tell both guys whats going on. If your best friend is really your best friend he'll understand that you see him as just a great friend and that you really can't see yourself wtih him because of the different feelings you have with your current boyfriend. Hopefully both guys will be able to understand this, that way you won't have to lose either of the great relationships you hold with both guys. well see how that goes, i hope i've helped a little, Jenny
