I'm working with Adobe Photoshop CS and GIF Builder to make icons. In some icons I've seen words or hearts are outlined in a color. Does anybody know how to outline words and objects in Adobe? _(link)

Okay, select the layer you want the outline on
Then go to "Blending Options"
Then select stroke and play around with the stroke options till your satisfied.
