Hey, im a 15 year old female and im single. I love animals and i have 1 dog, a blue and gold macaw, and a hamster. I love guys and need some advice about them so if i ask a question then i think that anybody that knows an answer will help me please. I live in Florida and have 3 brothers but no sisters.

I have an almost 1 year old long haired Chihuahua, with the possibility that he's mixed. (I think he's mixed because he's WAY too big to be a pure bred chihuahua). The first few months we've had him there have been no problems (I've had him since the middle of June). But recently he's been jumping up alot and biting people. He's drawn blood on two people so far, including my nephew whom he bit in the lip today.
We punish him whenever he does this but to no avail. My mom said that if he bites another person and draws blood that we have to put him down. Obviously I don't want to put him down, he's my baby and I love him but this is getting way out of hand.
So far my options are to muzzle him or put him down. For now, until we can figure out something else to do we're going to muzzle him. But I don't want to keep my dog in a muzzle all the time.

Hey, I also have a chihuahua and he's probably mixed with something too. My dog is also mean and he can't be around other people that he doesn't know. You should probably keep your dog away from other people and if you have to try a muzzle. Possibly if the dog bites another person they will call the animal police and take your dog away and that happened to my dog even though he didn't bite the girl. Since the dog has already bit 2 people before and if it bites another person they will probably call the animal police and your dog will likely be put down to sleep. If you dont want that to happen, then keep your dog away from strangers or people that he doesn't like and if that don't work then you should put him in a muzzle. Hope I helped.
