I recently just lost a pet. Well, actually my cat, Precious, was an outdoor cat. She'd come in and out of the house frequently, but was always home in time for bed.

One day we let her out, and by bed time she didn't come back. Okay, she's been out during the night, no big prob. But, she never returned.

My cat and I were very close. I'm having a hard time dealing with this, and I find myself calling out her name. It doesn't matter if I'm working, or thinking about something else, I'll just start randomly calling out for her.

And my job as a cashier with a grocery store hasn't been much help either. Just seeing and selling cat food makes me all that depressed. And cats I see when I'm outside drive me to tears.

I don't know how to deal! She's been gone for about three months now! How can I deal? (link)
There is no right way to "deal" with it. Calling out her name is normal for the hope of her being out there somewhere. Even when you know that they have gone you will find yourself sometimes calling out their name at times. Maybe she knew she was dying and left trying to spare up the pain of seeing her go. Animals try the best they can to distance them selfs from you when they are about to go.

And maybe the only thing that will help you now is getting another kitty. I can tell you really like cats so maybe another cat (maybe from the pound) might help. There are cats out there that need your help, that have never felt the love the Precious had.

It's only been three months. You just have to give yourself more time. Sooner or later you will feel better, you will still mish her, but the pain will seem more distant and you and your new kitty can enjoy all the wonderful games you and Precious used to play.

I hope things go ok with you. And if I could I would bring her back to you. My best wishes. . . .

What does the term "in heat" mean when referring to animals? I just know it's somthing sexual.. (link)
When an animal is in heat she will be able to get pregnant by a male. Differant types of animals go into heat different amounts of time every certain amout of days.

For example a common rat goes into heat every 3-4 days for about 8 hours each time.

Hi im Shelly and Im 14. I have had pets before but they have died. I did at one point have 6 rabbits but 2 we gave to my dads friends daughters and the rest have died. I don't know why thought. We look after them well and dont treat them bad we give them plenty of exercise too but still they died. I have 1 rabbit now and she is 2. I have wanted a dog for ages but my mum won't let me have one. She said its because she doesn't want a dog in the house, but she loves my uncles dog loads. I am starting to think the reason is because she doesn't trust me to have anymore pets. plz help me to change my mums mind.

Luv Shelly

Dogs are NOT easy pets to own. They require lots of attention and money. Ask her why you can't get one. It is the issue of money, time, or responsibility? In the mean time take care of your rabbit the best you can. If the only reason is that she dosn't trust you (which I highly doubt it) you will know after a couple months.

Find a breed of dog that is easy to care for and do as much research as possible on that dog. Tell her why you want it and don't lose interest in the dog you picked.

Maybe she is telling the truth and dosn't want a dog in her house. There are just some things you have to live with. Are there any other pets you might like to have?
