I signed up for the school talent show. Suddenly today, I learned that it will be held at the assembly. And it's too late to drop out. I have a terrible case of stage fright. I'm singing a song from THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Wishing You Were...), and it's going to be hard to liven up a beautiful broadway piece next to all the other singers, who are singing stuff like Ice Ice Baby and Alicia Keys. I just ADORE these kinds of questions! Okay so here's the deal. Ice Ice Baby will make people laugh. Anybody can sing it, and it shows no talent. Alicia Keys may be more popular, but her music is really pretty. I act, on tv and in school plays, and I used to be stage fright. Don't try the whole "imagine the people in their underwaer" type of thing, because if you're like me, you'll burst out laughing. Just imagine that they are not there. It's just you and the microphone. The microphone's name i Mike and he is your boyfriend. He is gorgeous. Looks like an Abercrombie model and has a sick pack. We're talking surfer perfect drop dead gorgeous. It's his birthday and he loves it when you sing to him. So you are serenading him. You will do really well and probably win because a song preformed on broadway will beat Ice Ice Baby by far. And afterwards, you won't be annoyed with people laughing or teasing you, you will be annoyed at how many people have come up to you to tell you how good you were.
If all fails.. fake sick. But I promise that this will work, It always does.
