about

Greetings,

I'm here and will attempt to answer questions that relate to either your SPIRITUALITY or your HEALTH. I consider myself to be a very spiritual human being, not religious as I don't follow an organized religion's dogma.
My heart is my good book and I attempt to live life from that point of view. I have lived long enough to have gained some wisdom and feel I could have something worthwhile to share.
I've used herbs and natural supplements and followed a healthy lifestyle since the early 90's, in fact it was herbs and herbal supplements and some lifestyle changes that saved my life.
As there have been some pretty wonderful people that have helped me along my life's journey, it's simply my turn to give back and if I can help someone here, I'm glad to do that. Hope to hear from you with your questions and if I help just one other person during my experience here, it will have been worth it. Have a very Happy&Health new year everyone, you all deserve it!

I'm looking for a houseplant that produces a lot of oxygen. Does anyone know of any?

I can tell you a really good plant IF you live in a home with cigarette smokers, or pipe or cigars..... spider plants do a very very very good job of filtering the air..... as for plants that give off a lot of oxygen... what I've done is find plants that do very good in my home and under my care... I experimented with the very affordable plants that are commonly on sale at local variety stores.... in usually 2 or 4 inch pots.... as soon as I could tell which were going to thrive in my home(each home is so different) then I bought more of that plant or varieties of the plant and now I have huge houseplants, some reaching almost to the ceilings and the air in my home is very good! I also play music(from a tv channel w/o commercials) for my plants whenever I'm away and I also mist them occasionally with water. I went to a beauty supply place and found a good hand sprayer that will last longer than the cheaper versions. Basically find which plants like your home or your room the best and then go for it. I wish you success! If I can do it YOU can do it! It was my mother that was good with plants. In fact after she passed away my daughter brought me the big corn plant that was my mom's and she had to use a pickup truck! I still have it. Watch your watering techniques, some plants like more than others....and repot as the plant grows... some plants like to be in a smaller container.... just don't give up. I almost did and I'm sure glad now that I didn't! I think it's more about what works for you and your space or home, than which ones give you more oxygen for they all do that.
