I know it may seem weird, but I want to be a counselor when I get older and I was just thinking that if I opened up an advice column MAYBE it would help me out someday. Who knows? well this might be long so sorry in advance.. well me and my bf have been together since feb. of 2004 and things seem to have been goin perfect until.. this summer.. see hes involved in so many things with basketball camps and helping out.. and im involved in cheerleading.. and then there are vacations and stuff like that so what im gettin to is there is a long gap of bein able to see each other. this is wierd bc we r used to seeing each other everyday [durin school] and doin things on the weekends. last summer wasnt the best for us either.. and i dont want this summer to end like that did.. so wut im tryin to say is there any advice anyone could give me on ways to see him more. what to do when i see him to make it u know "special" since there is that long gap between seein each other. i just dont want this relationship to be over bc the lack of seeing each other. I love him so much and i will do anything to be able to see him more... someone please help

Okay.. first of all honey, if you want to make it work. Believe me, you don't need anybody's help. But, since you asked for it, I decided to help you, b/c I'm pretty much going through the same thing. My boyfriend just graduated this year and he's working in Alabama this week, Virginia last week and he only gets to come home on the weekends, and sometimes not at all. I have cheerleading and soccer practice during the whole week anyways, but we still find time to talk on the phone with eachother. Just when I'm really thinking about him, I call him on his cell just to tell him that I love him. Try that, call your man at random times, just to let him know that your thinking about him. Makes him feel special. Also, maybe he could pick you up from cheerleading or whatever your doing this weekend. And if it's possible, invite him to come along. Maybe when you two are together, you should just do that, stay together, as long as you can. Don't worry about going out, maybe rent some movies and snuggle together. Tell him how much you love him and that your really going to miss him while he is gone. When my boyfriend is away, like right now, everday at the end of the day, I write him a letter. Even though we talk on the phone every night for an hour or so, I might forget something. So, a letter let's him know what I'm thinking about and that I'm thinking about him. Good Luck...
