well this weekend one of my good friends invited me to this party. and someone from her old school is havin it--this guy. and i told her i would go already since i promised her i would go to the next one with her...but im scared! because i havent been to much parties before and this time im not gonnna know a single person besides my friend and there is gonna be drinking (that dont matter) but i think my friends "crush" is gonna be there and im scared she is gonna leave me to like go makeout with him or somethin then what am i suppose to do? i wont know anyone and i will look stupid standin there by myself. and i already said but you better not be goin off with andrew (her crush) and she didnt say anything about it so now i dont knwo..i am just a shy person so i dont know what to do. i think my friend might get trashed..but i wanna drink SOME i dont know about gettin drunk..because i dont wanna regets somethin the next morning you know...but what do you think i should do?? because i promised her i would go sooo i cant cancel..i cant bring another friend that would be rude..and everyone else is doin things already anyways..ugh! this is making me go crazy!! HelP?

you are exactly like me. im usually alone at parties to. (sniff) but this is what you do. Let her go with her crush if she does. Don't let yourself be affected by it. You go to the party as a happy girl. Your going to walk in their with a smile on your face. Don't for one second look shy or out of place. You'll be faking but it will work. You go have your drink or two. Wear an attractive outfit. Something unique and sure to catch anothers eye. Be super friendly. You know what, you might think its lame. You might think to yourself," yeah right, easier said than that plus no one will pay attention to me". let me tell you this. Wrong. You will be surprised. It tis the power of possitive thinking that will give you a good time. Some girl will talk to you and chat it up or het even some guy might be lucky enough to notice you.
