My best friend, Rachel, is really cool and fairly smart but she is failing 7th grade. She will not do her work because she is lazy and she doesn't care about it. She hates school. She won't let me help her with her work and she says I should mind my own business. I'm too shy to talk to her parents about the problem and I wouldn't want Rachelto find out. What should I do? I'm really worried about her! (link)

Well there is always a reason to be worried. But, it IS a fifty.fifty chance. You should be supportive, and help her when she asks it. Because no one should force someone to let them pass to eighth grade. But is Rachel aware of thinking she might fail the seventh grade? And it also depends on the grades on her report card. My friend got a few D's, but she's made it to the next day.
