ive had so many of my "friends" steal a guy that i realy liked, or even my first love at that! Im tellin you hunnie it hurts and if you kare bout yer gurlfriend enuff you wouldnt do it!
realy i dunt think you want to ruin a friendship over this! and on the other hand, you could talk to her and see how shes into him, maybe mention that you heard he likes her but he likes you too! if you dig him that much tell her that..and ask her if she'd be mad? maybe she doesnt even kare and shes got better things on her mind anyway!

Realy..in my case I've had TONS of friends i thought were "true" friends and then they went along and jus stabbed me in the back, now i could name a few that have never done anything to me and visa versa, but those r some of the ones that just drift apart! So a true friend will show it when they come along, and Im sure you will have the feeling about them.
Now to tell if they r lieing.. i would say if they arent lookin you in the eyes. But no1 looks eachother in the eyes when talking! So you find out when the time comes to find out. And trust me if they r close enuff, or if you have other friends that wont lie to you, you WILL find out

All I can say also is Be yourself. But ya gotta know someimes you can amke the wrong impression, a very old friend of mine since we were just as young got mad at me for gettin into the wrong stuff, and even though Im all done with that phase they r styll not talkin to me. So Im sure you can mention the kind of theings your old friend MIGHT not approve of, you might actualy have some things in common. On the safe side, you might not want to mention those things until maybe after a few days ;-)
