I am going through the exact thing. I am a freshman in college about 4 hours from home, and I miss everyone like crazy. You feel like you have no one to talk to like you use to. And its just down right hard. You hide yourself in your room and cry sometimes cuz you just don't think you can make it. And worst of all you starting over all new. I'm with you , but what would life be without these scary obstacles and challenges that we face? As hard as is, get out there and introduce yourself, be friendly and go find someone. Because even if you don't realize it there is someone else in the shadows that may want to come out so bad because they are feeling the same way that you are but are too scared too!! Dont worry you will seriously make it and just know you arent alone. If you ever need to talk my email is tarebear_whinery17@hotmail.com

Alright so I just started college about a week ago and I'm all settled in. I've already been through a week of classes, but I absolutely hate it here. I'm about two hours away from home at a pretty big university. I was wondering if it was possible to transfer schools right after beginning classes. If not, what are some other options that can be used to get me out of here asap? Thank you for helping =] (link)

Hey I am in college also. What is it that is bothering you so much about the college. It's only been a week, can't you give it a little more time. I didnt like it here for a couple days but then I met people. I don't believe that you can switch colleges only because if you recieved grant money it has already went to the college you are attending. If you quit school, all that grant money will have to be paid back to the government out of your own pocket. My suggestions are maybe trying gettig involved in some activities or go talk to a school couselour and tell him/her about your situation and ask if there are any solutiouns to it. Anyways hope I helped and good luck

Okay, So I was awarded 3 scholarships. They totaled to about 800 dollars. The thing is, I may not be able to go to college in the fall, but I'd still like to attend college in the spring semester. So, would I still be able to keep the scholarship money in order to use for the spring semester?
Thanks!
Oh, I would ask my mom but she knows NOTHING about college, etc. (if you're wondering) (link)

I'm in the process of going to college right now also. The scholarships you were rewarded will go to the college not to you. You can't get a hold on them. When you are ready to go to college than you will have to reaaply for them unless when you applyed for the you specified that you needed them for spring semester but usually what you have to do is apply every semester and that you attend. I would double check but that is how my financial aid and scholarships go!! Well good luck. I wish you the best
