i am so confused. i have never met my father or any of his family. My mom has told me the story of how they met and has given me a picture, but that just isnt enough. i want to go to sacremento to find my family from his side. should i travel across the country alone? who should i tell? i dont know what to do. where do i belong? I'm sorry that you feel you don;t belong anywhere, but that's not true. Your mother loves you enough to raise you as a single parent, and believe me that's hard! It seems like your mom is willing to talk about your father, maybe when the time is right you should ask her what she thinks. Although we may not see it at the time, your mother has your best interests at heart. She may know things about your dad that you don;t, but that you should know. EVeryone has a right to discover their roots, I just advice against going it alone. This is a process you will need friends and family to help you through.
