Unfortunatly, in the dieting world quick solutions offer only temporary results. In order to truly be sucessful, it takes a lifetime of committment.

But the good news is, you can start feeling better today. First of all, you need an attitude adjustment. Your low self esteem will undermine your best attempts at weight loss. Agree right now that you will love yourself throughout the entire weight loss process. You are where you are today and there is nothing you can do to change that. Hating yourself will not change it, it will only make you feel worse about yourself. All that you can do is accept where you are today and know that there is nowhere to go but up. Changing your perception of yourself is half the battle.

After you do that, you can move into the diet and exercise aspects. First of all, I strongly urge you to sign up for an account at www.fitday.com. It's totally free and an incredible resource for losing weight. It counts the calories you eat and butn and compares them, along with a million other helpful options. In order to lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume. One pound equals 3500 calories, so if you burn 3500 calories more than you consume in a week, you can safely lose 1 lb. in a week. You should set a healthy goal of losing 1-2 lbs. a week.

I hope this helps. Good luck on your path to a more healthful life!
