Q: im having some boy troubles here :] ok so i am 15/f and im in tenth grade, just to let you know. yeah so i have asked a bunch of my friends about this, and they're all giving me their opinions, but id like some more pleassse. ok so its kind of long, and i will love you if you read it and help meeee:
i dont know how to start this off but here it goes. as i told you, im in tenth grade, and theres this really cute boy in ninth grade. we have two classes together but its totally awkward. i really like him and im pretty sure he likes me, this is what i need your opinion on. he's given me some signs, but im not too good with this whole boyfriend girlfriend thing, but this kid is so cute. ok well we have lunch together, which is lunch and study hall, and we have band class together. he also sits one sit away from me in study hall, but i cant really talk to him there. so after lunch one day, i was standing with my friend in the hallway waiting for another friend, and he was walking down the hallway with two of his friends, and they shoved him into me. i know its corny, but hey it might mean something. and everytime i pass his table at lunch, all of his friends just stare at me. ive talked to him a little, but im so scared to because i dont want to get hurt or something. but heres the catch, his best friend thinks i like him. i actually dont, i mean hes cute, and we flirt, but its just not there really. and now i think the kid i like thinks i like his best friend? make sense? i hope so. and so yeah, do you guys think there might be a chance he likes me? and do you know anything i could really talk about with him, like to start a conversation?
it would honestly help me so much because my school dance is coming up and if he doesnt ask me im seriously gonna ask him, its so not like me, but i want to really bad. any ideas to help me with that too? haha thanks so much if you read this and actually replied.

1. It sounds like he likes you, because he was pushed into you by his friends and the staring at lunch, so he either talked about you (in a good way) to his friends and they know he likes you, or they know you like him. Both can work in your favor.
2. Try to straighten out the situation where his best friend is concerned. If you like the first guy, stop flirting with his best friend because it makes you look like you like the best friend and you'll start looking like a flirt.
3. Start up a conversation about things you both have in common - lunch, and band. Since you both are in band, strike up a conversation about music and instruments, ask him how long he's been playing and how he got interested in the instrument. Then go from there.
4. About the dance, it depends on how much time you have before the dance. If it's really soon, you'll have to work fast with talking to him more and stuff to tell if he really likes you. Then, if he doesnt ask you, it's okay to ask him - the worst he can do is say no, and hes more likely to say no if doesnt really know you, so really work on talking to him and getting to know him some before you ask him.
