How bad do they hurt coming in, or being removed?
Coming in can vary from person to person, some find them growing in to be uncomfortable, and painful while others don't even notice them come in. My boyfriend didn't. I did. I was constantly chewing on something to ease it lmao.
If you are having them removed, it doesn't hurt. *I've had 2 of mine pulled so far* They numb you. But it all also depends on what type of procedure they are preforming. If your wisdom teeth are already grown out, all they'll do is pull them out, if they are still under the gum, and sort of coming in *like mine were, there was a small break in the gum, but the teeth never fully came in* they'll have to cut them out. What they do is cut open the rest of the gum surrounding the tooth, drill a hole into the tooth, and break it in half. Then pull out the two halves. Either way, the procedure itself did NOT hurt. My only problem during was the jaw discomfort. *you'll be stuck holding your mouth open* It's uncomfortable, and if you aren't careful and do as your dentist tells you to, the healing process could be uncomfortable too. There will be some slight swelling, as well as possible bruising. But for the most part, it's not that painful, at least I didn't think so. Everyone has different tolerances for pain. So what wasn't painful for me, could be painful for you. Who knows? You might even be like me and not even feel a thing.
