Hey everyone! Im 14/f and i got my period exactly 26 hours ago. I usually get mine around the 20ths so last time it was about on time. This time its almost 2 weeks early. I have had heavy flow all day today, literally. Every 2 hours i had to change my pad instead of my usual 3 or 4 hours. Every time the pad was almost leaking. (at only 2 hours) As i went about my business today, i felt the blood coming out in long spurts, id say about 10 times an hour. This has never happened before. My heavy flow days have never been this heavy for this long. So my question is: How long is too long for a heavy flow and is this normal? Thanks to everyone who answers! (link)
I usually hear that changing your pad every 2-3 hours is a bad sign, mainly after you have had a miscarriage or had given birth.. But considering you are only 14, I don't believe that is the cause.
I would suggest speaking with your mother or father and have them take you to the physician and get looked at. Because that is not normal, nor can it be healthy. Here is a site to read up on.

Be sure to talk to your parent(s) and get a doctors appointment and make sure it's normal, or otherwise.

My flow only lasted that day and it was definately NOT how it was described in the website. You should've paid more attention to the wording, but thank you anyway.
