Hi, my name's Sarah. After my freshman year in high school, my family and I had to move to a new school. I'm in band, and near the end of August, there's always band camp, where you spend all day for a week at the school to learn a half-time show. WELL, when I arrived, a boy caught my eye... (Let's call him Jack). I play trumpet, and he was in my section. He only interested me at first because he was so quiet and mysterious, and reaaally good looking. Incredibly thick, curly hair and mature eyes... ANYWAY, I was going to be a sophomore, and I could have SWORN he was at least a year older than me. Come to find out a few days later that he's actually a freshman, and he's 11 months younger than me. After a while, school started and I made friends with this big group of people, most were in band. Well, a girl who is now one of my best friends, let's call her Mary, and I were talking at lunch one day, and we both had crushes that we wanted to share. Freakishly enough, we found out we both had a crush on Jack. We didn’t mind that we both liked him because it was just a crush. WELL, we both got a little obsessive for a while, and were not able to shake off our feelings! We were both perplexed as to why we would maybe notice the crush fading, but then see him in the halway the next day and have our hearts stop. Even when Mary had a boyfriend for a bit, (didn’t last long, maybe a week?), she still couldn’t help looking at him. Well, fast forward to today, my senior year. I am STILL hung up on this guy! It’s a crush but stiiillllll, it will not go away! And I’m positive he knows my feelings, (one of my friends has a loud mouth, and he overheard her talking about my liking him.), and after 3 yrs he hasn’t asked me out, so I know nothing’s ever gonna happen. But… Mary now has been dating this guy John for 6 months, and she’s totally gotten over Jack. Jack’s now kind of a taboo subject since those were embarrassing times, so we haven’t talked about him in long while. So she assumes we are both over him, and I act like I am. But I’m nooooot! And Jack’s recently acquired a girlfriend, in his grade, and she’s really nice. SO, Mary’s over him, and he has a girlfriend. I want to just move on, and forget him! And now that he’s quit band, I don’t see him as much anymore, so I thought maybe that would be a chance to forget him. I do have study hall with him though. I’ll think I’m starting to get better, and then I’ll see him in the hall and it starts all over again… I haaaaaate it so much! I feel so pathetic. Is there anything I can do?? I really just wanna forget him. I really do. (link)

Well i good way to do this is by focusing yourself on other things put him to the back of your mind sometimes friends are better than boys so like me and my friends do we have what we call 'movie saturday' where ever week on a saturday we go to each others houses and take turns to host the movie saturday thing then we go to there houses and they rent a movie we havent seen before and all watch it together then afterwards we do lots of other things as girls understand about us more than boys you can be yourself around them and have fun. Also maybe you should tell your friend that you have this crush maybe she will help you get over it you can ask her for tips (as she was able to get over him) I hope this helped! and whoever the lucky guy is i hope you find him some day!
