If you posted something to a public forum from your cell phone, can it be traced back to you? I have an iPhone... (link)
Of course. Anything and everything is easily traced back to its originating source. Though it can only be traced by those who know what they are doing. So for instance.. Say you were being a cyber-bully, and someone was to eventually "bite the bullet" because of said bullying, they can easily trace it back to you if you were/are one of the causes.

Added - It can be traced, but only if someone were to report it. But I do not know how authorities handle such occurrences.

So unless you posted something indicating bodily harm, there's no way it would be traced?
