Hi, this is Kate. I'm 17. My life motto is 'Live Laugh Love', I really think those are great words to live by and I'm planning to have it made into a tattoo. I'm not religious but I love learning about different religions. I write stories based on things that have happened to me because sometimes I have days where I just think 'wow that sounds like something out of a book'. I've finished 3 stories and I'm about to start my first horror story..very exciting. I believe in fairy tale love...the kissing in the rain, staring at the stars on the rooftop kind of love..Why? Because I'm in that kind of love and its been the greatest time of my life. And it didn't come easy.
I'd love to help you with whatever issues come your way. I've been in relationships where the guy was too old for me, the guy was my best friend, the guy just wanted to get some. I've been the other woman but I'm not proud of it. I've been the girl who waits years to be with the guy she wanted.
I come from the type of home where everyone seems okay and then when everyone leaves its chaos. My parents should have been divorced years ago and I can't stand to be around either of them so for now I'm going day by day, only coming home to sleep and counting down the days until I go to college in August.

i cant decide where i want to go to college. i applied to 6 places and got into all of them. but now i realize that i absolutely dont want to go to 4 of them. so its between 2 schools.
im not going to use the names of the colleges but...
the first one is a fairly large school near a city, which i really want. but i've been reading reviews about this school and most are negative. they say "if your not white, rich, a smoker, and drinker, then you wont fit in" and not the last 3. so im just worried that the school is too much about partying.
the second place is a branch of a big school, so they have off campus housing. i would live in an apartment with 4 people. the only issue there is that im a girl and we'd have 2 girls and 2 guys in the apartment. the school itself seems nice, but im worried that i wont get the full college experience.
what do you think i should do? ive visited both places but i just cannot seem to get that moment where im like "this is the place i wanna go" please help! (link)

Honestly the "whole college experience" isn't for everyone. I go to a rich white school where a majority of the kids are here because of their parents' money, not for their intelligence. I've been in the party scene, the nerd scene, a combination of the both. I have a single but I live in a suite so I only share a bathroom with 7 other girls. To me the apartment idea sounds good although it is convenient to be on campus. I personally feel more mature than the college experience and I was over it after a couple months. Another thing to consider is that I'm at a small school, 20 minutes from a city, without a car. And the bus is kind of grimey so I avoid it. The school I really wanted is in that city and is walking distance to everything which is what I really wanted. Also, my dining hall has really strange hours that I either have class or am not awake for so I end up having to make food for myself a lot anyway.
So..if you're the type of person who is up at 1-3 in the morning, go for the city school. If you're fairly independent and like being on your own, go for the apartment.
