my mom is really annoying, about stupid stuff. like i don't like football games, i used to but now were not allowed to walk around, and you just stand there in the crowd, and you can't talk, because its too loud, and i don't like football, so its just not enjoyable. well my mom is like why don't you want to go, why aren't you going, you'll regret it. grrrrrrrrrrr. & like homecoming, i don't like dances, i never have.
how can i explain this to her, so it will sink in? (link)

just explain to her that youre just not into those things and even though you can image that she'd love to do that stuff all over again, that you too are different people. you have your interests and school activities arent one of them. its not something you should be ashamed of or guilted into doing.
