My friend can get on my last nerves. Anything exciting I tell her s do she has to have something exciting all of a sudden too, she is also a pretty big liar.How do I solve this. (link)

Dear "Jealous Friend?",
Sometimes when a friend acts like that is because like you said they are jealous. They are insecure in the value of themselves so they try to be like someone else. She apparently sees you as someone of great importance since she has looked to you to be like. In order to fix this you might try encouraging her to believe that she is a great person who people will like if she is herself. How do you do this you ask? Well, sometimes just asking them about themselves works. It shows that you want to hear what goes on in her life which will lead to her believing she does matter. Try to only talk about something that involves you when she is not around unless she directly asks you. The main thing is, is to try to get her to see that she needs to stop being someone she isn't and start being herself. Then people will like her because she is honest and they will know that they can actually believe what comes out of her mouth. This way she learns not only that she is a unique person, but there is not reason to be insecure about herslef because if people don't like her for who she truly is, not like her or dislike her for who she isn't, then they are not worth hanging around.
