I'm 15 and I raise guppies for fun in a large aquarium. Guppies multiply quickly! I have been giving most of them away to a local petstore with the help of my parents. The last time I was at the store I noticed that there were very few fish... and not much business... I became fairly certain that the majority of the fish were dying. My parents either did not notice or do not care, and want me to contimue giving my fish to this store. Furthurmore, I do not know of another store who will take the extra fish. Raising guppies has been a fun hobby and I don't want to stop, but I don't know what to do... I don't want to keep handing over fish to be killed in a poor aquarium enviroment. The advice i can give you look for pet store's in the yellow pages & ask them if they make service they're and the honest truth that you don't appreciate the fact that you think the other store is letting the guppies die due to it's bad service and check the store out.
you can also try to google it, and check it out.
BUT, stop giving it to a place where they won't be treated right.
Along time ago, that happened to me i gave my puppy to a pound because it was spreading ticks and flees all over my house and my mom did it behind my back when i went to school and they told me they'll try to get it to get adopted only finding out that they gave it that injection to put it to sleep, i cried so much when i found out. So be extra careful. Animal cruelty is the worst thing that can occur :(

Thanks for your advice. I did feel really bad when I thought they were all dying, because that's not what I had in mind. I'm very sorry that that happened to your dog. I'll look for other pet stores to take the fish, and if I can't find one I will stop raising babies...
